@ Yoggerz covered both already but nonetheless I will eagerly await papa's version. I find egg rng the most straightforward. Already holding down before press A hit the frame exactly seems to work about 80% of the time

I might do a more in-depth SwSh tutorial at some point. My next focus is on BDSP Breeding, because lots of people have been asking about it. Yes! You can stay on one seed and keep re-identifying. You just have to pull the mons out of the daycare, and start from Step 1.

@ hmm. I did do that, but only my 1st egg was shiny, rest 4 were non shiny. Maybe I did some step wrong. Will be waiting for that guide

Afraid not. Those use a separate, more secure RNG mechanism

I use an elgato, but a cheaper USB capture card from Amazon will work. You don't even need it for SwSh, you can manually watch the 128 animations and record the 1s and 0s.

@ Thank you for your response! I wanted to give the webcam version you showed in the bdsp video a try today and see if I could get a shiny fossil. I was looking into the cheap capture cards Amazon has but noticed they have quite the delay, does this matter at all?

Right now Gen 1 is being worked on actively, and actually having success with Pokemon manips. Gen 2 isn't quite at that level yet. I don't really play OG Gen 1/2 anymore, so I'm a little out of the loop there.

Yeah my next big video on BDSP Breeding will be in-depth step-by-step. I'm trying to find a balance between the two types of videos: A. Fun demonstrations like this, where I repackage some stream content, and its just a taste of what's possible without being a 30+ minute investment. I actually tried to make this one as approachable to a non-RNG person as possible... but admittedly its a dense subject. I don't expect someone to be able to jump in and start with just this video, but moreso develop an interest and explore the community. These are the gateway to B-Type Videos.. B. In-Depth Guides\Essays that are long and thorough. These are where you'll inevitably wind up, after watching 1 or 2 of the shorter ones. They won't attract as many new people on their own, but they are the meat & potatoes of the channel. I just have so many already, that I'm trying to establish a balance.

@ me as one of your audience, I feel if you did the in depth tutorial like bdsp then do the short clips it would be more easier to follow. Posting (a) first can confuse new people if they not already familiar w the process. When I watched bdsp (b) I was able to learn and understand more meaning in the following videos(a) even though I was still lost I still had a clue on what was going on. Afraid Regieleki is off limits. For whatever reason, the static encounters and breeding use a different secure seeding mechanism that is disconnected from how overworld spawns generate.

Dynamax Adventures use a totally different, more secure mechanism, unfortunately. Overworld Pokemon only.

@@Nelsito99nope, the regis use the switch’s built in cryptosecure rng, which hasn’t been cracked yet. so regidrago and eleki are un rng-able as of right now, but in (i think) every other game with the regis, they’re completely rng manipulatable

You actually don't need the elgato. You can manually click the stick and enter the 1s and 0s. I'm just taking a shortcut. But yes, you do need a computer and the programs. What I meant to convey was that you don't need a hacked switch in order to do it.

@ fair enough, I’m just not confident my 2018 laptop can accomplish this.
