Hi Martin it finally worked thank you so much am using the Adj Dmx software which was on 9ch mode I set the receiving par on 4ch I think that was the problem anyway it works fine now except for the slight delay in the receiving par as the d-fi signal is not very strong I think (your thoughts) which is ok as am using these as uplights thanks again.
Yes, the software is near identical. The only difference is mydmx GO cannot connect to an Art-Net interface and has 256 DMX channels (upgradeable to 512). All other functions are the same.
@@frankib190 I'll be honest, whilst you *can* control Freedom Sticks via DMX I personally prefer the built-in programs as they are more dynamic and interesting. You need to decide what you're trying to achieve and whether Light Rider/mydmx GO can deliver that. If you want to just let them run, I think I'd be using one of the Sound Active modes and just let them do their thing... that's what I tend to do!

If you have all chauvet products. I.e. we have a 4 bar wash light and Freedom sticks what would the signal flow be to use light rider app and use everything wirelessly? I’m thinking you would need a di-fi connection for the 4 bar, but then would you need a difi hub of some sort or does that app require the ADJ bridge hub?
For reference, we are starting to add a sound/light person, but have all our own light rig which is growing. Right now all Chauvet products, but we’d love to be able to use them wirelessly with an app that seems as simple as light rider or ADJs app.
Hi Martin. I have set up D-fi with my 4 freedom sticks. I can only get 3 of the 4 working. The 4th stick will not work no matter what i do.... any ideas?? Thanks in advance Noel 🙂
When I use both the par’s in master slave mode with the D-Fi USB’s they work fine that means the D-Fi USB’s are set right but when I connect the dmx cable from the Adj airstream to the first par i then proceed to change the dmx address on both pars as per the patch addresses on the airstream Adj software when I do this just the first par works
Assuming you have set the DMX address and channel mode correctly, they should just work. I've read the manual and there's nothing else you have to do. 4ch mode is all you need for Light Rider to work properly with these lights. Are both pars showing the DMX address and any indication of receiving a DMX signal?
Hello Martin! Thank you so much for your videos! You are a life saver! I’m sorry to message on this video but I have question regarding this setup. I have a ADJ MYDMXgo wireless transmitter that I use light rider with. I recently purchased a set of freedom sticks and freedom h1 lights. (Both of which run on the Dfi system) Currently, I have my mydmxgo box hard wired into a Chauvet 4 Bar Tri USb edition. What do you recommend I do to have my setup which I believe is very similar to the setup on this video talk to the freedom sticks and h1 lights? I have a spare D-Fi usb. But when I connect it to the usb slot on the Chauvet 4 bar, it disables the dmx ports. Should I buy a usb light and hard wire it from the out dmx port on my 4 bar Tri? Hope that makes sense. Thank you for any help in advance!
Martin, yes! Got that part figured out and the lights are talking to each other well! However, on the freedom sticks, only half of the stick lights up and responds under D-Fi mode. I’ve tried every channel configuration and I can’t get the entire stick to react. What would you recommend ?
That sounds like a configuration issue. I ran my sticks in 50ch mode and make sure you're using 50ch mode profile too. It does use up a lot fo DMX channels tho!
Hi Martin i used two Chauvet slim pars Q12 USB with Adj airstream the first par I connected with a dmx cable to the airstream I also used a D-Fi USB as a transmitter on the first par and the second I used a D-Fi USB as a receiver i could only control the first par the second par was not responding at all i checked the addresses the channels all seemed to be ok am I doing something wrong can you please help me?

Besides a D-Fi Hub, are there any other devices I might need to connect my light rider ART NET LR512 directly to and only to Freedom Sticks? What about in the case where I want to run a d-fi hub and other lights that run on 2.4 wireless dongles (like the donner gongles)? Will I need some kind of DMX Splitter/Isolator?
If I understand you correctly, you do not need a splitter. As you can see in the video, I run ADJ WiFLY and Chauvet D-Fi in the same room. Donner Dongles would be no different.
@@LightRiderTips but none of my units have a d-fi slot to insert the d-fi USB into. I guess the answer to question that could help resolve this for me would be: if i dont have a unit with a d-fi usb slot, do i need the d-fi hub?
OK, so you need *something* to transmit D-Fi. If you don't have a USB fixture then you will need a D-Fi hub or another Freedom fixture with a DMX OUT (e.g. Freedom Par).
@@LightRiderTips got it. I just realized that i can connect d-fi hub to any fixture and daisy chain the dmx signal from there for te freedom sticks. Bottom line i need a d-fi hub or a freedom fixture. Thank you for responding and your help.
