I use a black marker on the magnet so I know which side needs to be face-up - belt and braces to ensure you don't glue it in the wrong way round.

Dave Weston that’s a cracking idea. Not sure why I never thought of that before lol

Good stuff mate. I decided to build the arm assemblys first and then magnetise the whole arm at the shoulder joint so I could use the fists or guns at my leisure. I didnt think to do it at the elbow. looks pretty solid.

It works very well. Only thing you can’t have it the pipe work.

@@rootstemgaming yea. I am completely with you on the logic there though. Open pipes exposed to enemy fire instead of running inside the superstructure sounds mental to me.

I can't recommend a magnetising stick enough. A short piece of 5mm dowel with a 5mm magnet epoxied to each end, labelled "body" and "arms" on each end. It helps you keep everything consistent throughout all of your models. Also, make a second one exactly the same at the same time so that if you ever lose the first you've got a reference template to make another.

That's a absolute banger of an idea.

Hey, could you do a short size comparison video with the Reaver, Warhound and a Space Marine Dreadnought? I'm thinking of converting the Reaver or Warhound into 40k Mortis Dreadnoughts - magnetising their weapons.

@@rootstemgaming Hey what about the size comparison? It would be nice to compare a Contemptor Dreadnought too.

Have you done the knights as well?

Terry Jackson I didn’t good sir. Simply because you only get one of each weapon in the set. So I’m just going to get an additional one to make 3 and be able to field three with the same weapon.
