These steps are broken down so well Daniel and they're easily actionable. What I think was special was the idea to use common things like the purple blanket and the streamer, combined with the camera moves and lighting to make it look super high-end.
Hey Daniel. I wanted to mention it when I got the chance from the Club House talks we had, but never got to it. If you order glycerin on amazon and mix it with water 5:5 ratio on your spray. The water droplets will stay on throughout the whole shoot due to the density of glycerin being heavier than water! It also looks really realistic in product commercials (got the tip from a DP friend in Toronto!). It is super oily tho, so its good to keep around some paper towel to wipe if you want to re-moisture them :D Btw thank you so much for helping creators like us on Club House so passionately in the last couple days. Really appreciate your effort and humility to spend time with us!
That last shot was soooooo slick. Like butter over hot toast. Some great tips without the extra kit too. Thanks Daniel, another top tip video Cheers, JT
@@cardozamx from what I see the subject, let’s say the label, is the focus point and always in the centre of the frame. With continuous AF it would track the main subject. Some slider apps also have the ability to select a subject and track that throughout the frame, therefore no matter where the subject is in the frame, focus is obtained on it at all times. I think that is part of the function of this system, but I don’t know for a fact. @WeEatTogether also uses this system so perhaps pop over there to see how he uses it.
Hello Sir, Im from Pakistan. I have been watching your tutorials since 5 years and have learnt sooo much from youuu .... i knew nothing about photography but by watching your tutorials i am now running my own business and earning a handsome amount
The fact that all these tips are coming from his head and not some "random filmmaking tips" from a film school graduate(no offence), is just too awesome.
Whenever I think about doing product photography or videos, you are my go-to man, and just as I finished doing a shot with your tutorial on getting 'infinite black', you release this banger of a video! Keep up the great work Daniel!
some great advice you said resonated w me: only do as much as you need for the consumer not to notice. i am pretty extra- but ppl don’t notice as much as u think. thx .
That is a big investment for the "robotic arm". I am starting soon with just the probe lens + edelkrone turntable for now. Will see how that improves my product videos
I accidentally deleted your comment.. but I just wanted to say thank you for watching and commenting on some of my videos!! It really means a lot to me.
Holy s*** 🤯 Great way of showing how you can do stuff without gear, and still get great result. But also showing the killer content you can create with sliders 🔥 Awesome mate!
I mean, I don't really make videos, but I really enjoy this kind of content. Also, it's an awesome way to promote a product, because you actually show how you use it and how cool it is. Very nice video overall.
7:11 did you put the camera on continuous auto-focus/follow focus? otherwise I'd see a bit of a problem with these shots if the camera isn't pointed constantly at the desired focus point. otherwise maybe you can attach an external focus puller?
I dont even do videography but this is great knowledge to learn. In my opinion, that side by side shot at 5:15 looked cleaner without the movement of the camera. I think that might be because of the product specifically because it looks classy, and more movement doesn't really breed classy, but rather playful and exciting. Either way, I love what you are doing! Love from the GTA :)
