Thank you for your video. Your rice seemed to come out alright, but I have some questions... 1) Isn't the cup that comes with the cooker 180c.c. so not equal in volume measurement as a USA cup? I researched that 180c.c. 3/4 the size of a USA cup (USA 8 oz.). 2) You mixed measurement units? Your Pyrex measuring glass is in USA cups/ounces but your measuring cup (180c.c.) is 3/4 the size of a USA cup? 3) What was your reason for not measuring liquid according to the lines inside of your rice cooker container? Sunpentown provides those guides, on the inner pot, for measuring convenience.
HI, Inside the rice cooker bowl there are markings/lines and numbers indicating measurements. If I used one cup of rice (that came with the rice cooker), I usually put the same amount of water that reaches one cup within the bowl. Its been a couple of years since I've been using it. Now I can easily make the ratio of rice to water easily.
9 yes later... It's AUTOMATIC! Once you clean your rice and put the amount of rice and water ratio, you press the button and you're done. It's been nine years since I posted. I don't remember everything I said in the video. I'm STILL using it. I don't wait around watching or timing it. I'm usually multitasking. I put the rice in it. I go do something else. One thing for sure, IT IS DURABLE. I'M STILL USING IT, 9YRS LATER!
"some people cook it without washing it but for some reason I like to" The reason is that you're correct and they are wrong lol Just got a rice cooker so I don't have to cook it stove top anymore and came to see if people run it without rice before using it. Thanks for the vid
hey, I wasn’t sure if I need to like “cook” just a water only in it to for the first time or something (because some chemicals from factory or what), but f. it, I am following you!! :D Thank you :)
Hmm, I never pay much attention on the time. The next time I use it I'll make sure to time it. I usually press the button then go do something else. Lol I'll be back to this question to give you the answer. FYI: I'm still using this same rice cooker and I'm still in 💘 with this brand. Not one issue with it...knock on wood!
