Using Overtone to help blend my gray hair transition.  

How.... I'm in my 50s and no time either

Did you use this process? 68, red hair, with white coming in.... help..😊

@@michelemckune3809 no I haven’t tried it. I just absolutely cannot give up the red hair. I think the gray makes me look like I’m 90m & at 77 I guess I’m still vain enough that I’m gonna keep the red.👍🏻🤗🧑🏻‍🦰

When you go to the overtone website it will show examples of what the product will do on different colors.

That is so exciting!! I can’t even imagine how that will feel. I think I might actually miss this demarcation line 😂

It was fun to use Overtone but I actually like my demarcation line. It's back after a few washes.

I have to say I was surprised at the difference it made. I was disappointed when I did the stand tests but the extra time seemed to help.

@@CarrieJessica I have learned the hard way that strand tests are important. There is another grey hair blogger named Erica and she made a huge mistake by putting overtone rose gold on her beautiful all grown out silver hair. The overtone stained her hair. She was freaked out and upset. She did not do a strand test! I think that finally she got it out of her hair, but it took a little bit of work.

I will leave it on overnight frequently, using a shower cap to contain the heat from my scalp to really set the color

Interesting. I bought a pot of the Pastel Silver; I have uncolored, untreated, light brown and gray hair. A strand test on dry hair for 10 mins did almost nothing except maybe to make the gray less prominent. I don't think pastel silver is really for turning hair pastel silver! Not really sure what it's for, though it does seem to leave hair nice and soft. I have a pot of the no color hair mask (the Remedy) I plan on using, and then I am going to go for a Pastel Purple ( I decided for lockdown I may as well see how I like a little color in my hair). I think Carrie-Jessica's hair looks darker gray, which makes sense looking at the color in the pot of color depositing conditioner. I think if you are white-haired, or platinum, or blonde you should be very careful about using Silver oVertone!!

@@lindas.1751 products like overtone only deposit color. They don’t lighten. Which means you have to factor in the color of your hair before application. The pastel version has less pigment than the vibrant version (which has less pigment than the extreme version). I like to buy the Extreme because I have the option to lighten it by adding plain conditioner to dilute the pigment. I hope when I have more Gray it’s light enough that I can do pastel colors 😁

Curly girl ,I gave up shampoo 15 years ago upon advise from Lorraine Massey's book Curly Girl. I don't use products except very occasionally I use conditioner. Stop using soap/ shampoo in your hair and you will say bye bye to frizz. No low-poo either. Gotta give it some time though best results after a year.

I hope the video has sound and is in focus.. two issues I had last week when I tried (umph), but I did record my styling rutine today. I'm shooting for it to be Friday.

I’ve been shampoo free for 5 years and the first year was a challenge. In 2 old dish soap bottles I’d put 3 tablespoons of baking soda and fill the rest w water (19 oz) and the other with 1/4 c vinegar and the rest with water, or if I make a bad batch of colloidal silver I will use it. My hair is so soft now. But I want to try the overtone stuff. My hair is about the same color, thick, and curly too. Crossed fingers!

Oh, I forgot to say the baking soda mixture is the wash and the vinegar is the conditioner.

I would like to know the name of this brand, so I can start looking beautiful like you. 👍
