This tool has been moved to the 'Laser Tools' Tab in Lightburn. Not your fault, it was like this when you made the Video, there was no 'Laser Tools' Tab then- just updating for anyone who might be confused. You might pin this comment or make one of your own so that this Video is still accurate. You could also add an annotation comment in the Vid at the timestamp ( 3:17 ish) which could note the corrected tool location. Excellent Video, it still works exactly the same- it's just been reorganized/moved to a different location.
Once again, I am amazed at the thought and features put into this product (Lightburn). My fervent wish and hope is that Lightburn expands into the world of vinyl cutters and CNC machines to spread its magic to those poor souls. I have an old Roland Vinyl Cutter that's built like a tank and will last into the next millennium, but whose creators have forsaken with no driver updates for newer versions of Windows. Lightburn to the rescue (all fingers and toes crossed)?
I use three different platforms (unfortunately). Currently use Lightburn (by far favorite), EZCad (UV Galvo - can't wait for Lightburn Support) and the absolute worst, FSL RE3 (all on separate machines).
woooow! nadie lo explica mejor que tu, vi varios videos y solo me quedo claro con tu explicacion, Excelente video, muchas gracias por tus aportes, bendiciones.
Thank you, Jason! I echo all the compliments on this thread. I just ran across this tutorial a couple weeks ago & I'm so thankful I had this little nugget of knowledge tucked away. I had to attempt my first "rescue mission" this evening. On my first try, I got an error (my fault as I had placed my piece just barely outside the cut boundaries). Once the placement was corrected the process worked flawlessly. You do an excellent job on your tutorials and I sure admire your attention to detail in the creation, maintenance and advancement of Lightburn software. Kudos to you & your team (if you have one ;) )!!
Awesome, thank you! I wish I knew about this a few days ago 😫. I guess you could use a low powered test fire to dial in the alignment precisely if you don't have a red dot pointer?
Great video!! Question: let’s say I have a cut that has multiple pieces and most of them cut except for two. Would it be possible to use this feature then select “only cut selected graphics” to cut just those two pieces that didn’t cut completely?
I know this video is a year old, but. As always great video ... I am a newbie trying to cut a project that is larger than my Ortur Laser Master 3. Using the 'mermaid' video from two years ago, I am having no success. My print and cut selections are grayed out and the wizard does not ask for the second reference point. What could be the issue?
Great video. My question is does the laser has to be set up on user origin, current position, or absolute coordinates. In your video, I can see that sometimes it reads current position, then it changes to user origins I understand once you do the cut n print automatically move to absolute coordinates
Absolute Coordinates is a requirement for Print and Cut so your laser must have limit switches. If you havent seen our newer video on this function it may answer some of your other questions: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ddRW12VKIwY.htmlsi=PEuqBkQZ3NdT13RX
What do you do after you set your 2nd target. Do you unselect everything and click frame or do you press start . Mine keeps going to the top middle and nothing happens, sometimes it just beeps and doesn’t do anything.
1) Depends on the controller, or which controls you're using. If you use the jog buttons in LightBurn, there is a speed control in the Move window. Otherwise you can usually change the speed by hitting the Speed button on your controller. 2) Yes. You kind of have to, otherwise, how would it run the job? (You can also use 'Start', if that's what you're asking)
I wanted to engrave some USB-Sticks with a selfmade Jig using this feature. I did everything exactly the same but my engraving was totally off. It wasn't centered on the USB but placed in the lower left corner even tough my file was perfectly centered... Do you have any idea what this could have caused?
Thanks for sharing but I did everything how come my laser moves completely to a different spot. I am in absolute. it start to laser kinda in the middle and up away from the project. Please help. Thank you
Please send an email to our support team support@lightburnsoftware.com. With the steps you have taken and the results you are getting. If you have images of what you are seeing that will help as well.
When I set first target position nothing happens. The circle does not appear and the button doesn’t change. I’m running windows 10 and Lightburn 1.1.03
Are you connected to your laser? You have to be. If you are having difficulty, I would recommend either emailing support@lightburnsoftware.com or posting a question on our support forum. RU-vid comments do not allow either of us to post screen shots, and are kind of terrible for proper support.
At 2:08 the pointer changes from the arrow to the red circle. The interface does not show any tool selected (in the tool well)...How did you go from the arrow to the red circle?
I have a print that I need the laser to cut around? How would you do this with lightburn? Or do I need to use a different program to upload it to lightburn? Any help would be appreciated
@@lightburnsoftware7189 thank you so much for quick answer. I found out about LB recently, Im impressed what this software can do. I'll be your new user soon. Thank you for all hard work.
Not work for me... :( I tried many times and it never start on same lines... After configure both positions, I select to move laser to click position and it moves for another point... :(
