God I loved EndWar, especially the storyline, it saddens me greatly that there wasn't a sequel, or even a remaster. Also the Russian camouflages were the best.

Thank you Rimmy for showing me that my favorite game is still loved by people other then me. I remember getting home from high school going online for the global wars and getting crushed my maxed out armies because no unit survived past level 2. It was so fun to see End War played again.

We need more. This is very entertaining to watch.

I remember loving this game. It had a good first couple months, but since everybody kept killing evacuating units nobody ever got to experience the cooler abilities in multiplayer. The unit killers would justify the behavior with "It makes future games against those players easier for my team so its a legitimate strategy". True enough, but without any way to advance your persistent army that wasn't dependent on merciful opponents, the playerbase started to dry up and the game died out. A good example on how rewarding Sadism in multiplayer competitive games is a bad idea. Not helping was the constant swinging of the tides of war forcing players to use the same maps over and over and over again, nor the fact that RTS games on consoles are always wonky even with voice controls. Flanking, micromanaging, and maneuvers that required a fine touch simply cannot happen on thumbsticks.

I remember all of this with overwhelming nostalgia. One of my favorite games of all time. Definitely one of the best rts.

I do miss that game. Plus, I miss the persistent squads system you pointed out. Back in the day there were a few games like that (I also remeber Star Wars Force Commander having it) and it was super cool. I love the idea that today you could have a RTS with this system, where you would only have a few elite squads and all units in these squads could be customized and would gain experience, thus the more you keep them alive and you stuff them accordingly to their needs the more you obliterate your enemy in the end.

Yessss do multiple episodes please also I dont remember but someone has a special squad that can turn invisible and I love it

damn, what a blast from the past! I remember playing this on my Xbox trying to get the voice commands to work lol. I really remember the cinematic trailers for this game being intense, I think it was of the US Army in Paris. Fantastic game!
