Newbie here! Thank you so much!I had already ruined two sheets before I realized the time and temperature setting difference. And both of you work well together, and not too 'wordy' Straight forward!
Thank you so much for this video! I cannot believe how many videos I’ve watched and still couldn’t get the sublimation v. vinyl HTV. My confusion was the sublimation paper onto the garment v. sublimation paper onto the vinyl. The way you explained it as well as showing it at the same time, helped so much! (Yes, I really have to emphasize that). Thank you again.
Great video!! I love how detailed y'all were. I'm new to sublimation but I've been doing regular vinyl for a while now. This video definitely raised my confidence lol
You said if one has a Sawgrass printer, they can print straight to vinyl; but I think you meant if we have a Sawgrass that has used subli-jet ink. I have a Sawgrass 1000, but I bought it to do sublimation printing, not subli-jet. I still get confused some about all that and know others do to. I may have not even worded that accurately, but you know what I mean. Thanks.
Great video ! Quick question when you have to use your epson f570 to print onto sublimation paper and then press onto easy subli htv, how would you use the masking paper to keep a design together that has more than one piece? I am trying to find a way to sublimate on cotton using the epson f570 printer and the easy subli htv when a design has more than one piece (like the one at the end) ? Love this video !
Have you found an answer? I have the same question, I was thinking maybe you need to use 2 masking sheets, one for the blank easy subli cut and then tack it to the shirt and then use another mask sheet for the printed sublimation design and sublimate onto the easy subli?
Hi does the siser easy subli not have a longer life than the A sub Using on its own would that be the longer life option I love this technique as I struggle with A sub with the clear on its own Thanks
Thank you. Can you show the last press on intricate image with the sublimation paper please? How are you line up the easy subli on top of sub paper to press. I failed on that process. Thanks again
If you are subbing onto the easysubli and you have several pieces I guess you need to preprint the easysubli and then use the mask to put it on the garment?
Great video. Question? What hapoens is you do not have the big heat press, how do you dry the ink so it will not smear? I have a cricut easy press but do i hover over for 5 minutes or just allow it to dry over night?
Hello Cheryl, we have only tested this product with the process that we showed in the video with our equipment. You will want to pay attention to the color changes and see how vibrant it is getting from either hovering the easy press or allowing it to dry over night.
When printing on an epson then applying to the east subli do you mirror the print AND the cut out? When I cut my image out on my cutter do I need to mirror the east subli cut? Or just the printed image?
Hey I really like your video.. I was going to buy a F570 myself.. I was worried not having the ability to print to cotton.. so I really appreciate the illustration.. but here is the question.. is it better to stick with the F570 and use the paper.. or buy a printer that does cotton already.. those heat fx printers can reach up to 8g.. what are your thoughts? Is it worth it for t shirts.. or does the sublimation just make sense.. thank you
Hello, glad you found the video helpful! Not being able to print to cotton is downfall to sublimation, but it is permanent ink, unlike heat transfer. You can get long lasting results with heat transfer as well though, when using the correct paper and settings. new to the sublimation world, How does Cricut know how to cut around the image that is already printed on the EasySubli? Is there a video showing how to do this particular step? Is there a program that needs to be purchased?
@@designhub360customtshirtsa3 I think they are cutting it as vinyl so they didn't use the print then cut feature. It seems bit harder with the direct print but for the transfer process you would just put it on the mat and cut the shadow shape out. I hope that helps!
@@DeeZCreationZ yes you are correct, the image can be dubpicated in DS with the duplicated image changed to a cut image. then it can but cut as cut file as it is then a solid
Hi please help I have an image that includes text around it so… using epson printer and CRICUT maker What is the process for doing the process Do I cut out easisubli and place on shirt with the mask so as not to lose placement then place my printed design over this and press all at one time?
Please help I did everything the way you said to do I tried both ways and neither worked. Don't know what I am doing wrong. when I used the sublimation paper after heat pressing it I could not get it to peel of the shirt. Using my cricut press setting at 315 for 15 sec. What am I doing wrong
Hi Sharon, our team has only tested it with the sublimation printers that we carry. We do show two different techniques in this video so you could certainly try both ways and see which one works better with your sublimation printer.
Hello, Berlinda! Although it may be more difficult, you could hold your easy press over the design to allow it to dry. It does help to allow as much dry time as possible so the ink doesn't smear.
I did this and could never match it up as i HATE boring solid shapes and like intricate delicate thin cuts so it never lined up also if its 100% cotton the temperature and time always no matter what brand or type of clothing if it was 100% cotton it ALWAYS SCORCHED it would turn a permanent yellowing on the fabric due to the high heat for way too long. Less time and it barely shows up. This is white cotton plus my heat press is calibrated and i have a heat check device and its down by -5 degrees celsius not even above so once again cotton misses out.
Hello! Here's how we would go about that. If you want to print directly on EasySubli, select Heat Transfer Vinyl under material (for creative studio) or Substrate (in the print manager). You will need to use Cricut Maker to print the registration marks. So when you go to print through cricut maker select the Sawgrass Print manager to print it out then you can cut it on the cricut. When you select the vinyl material the only paper that will come up will be 2 vinyl options, HTV or glitter.
Great video. A few important details are left out that I'd like to know: 1) What settings for substrate and paper etc do you use in Sawgrass Creative Studio since there won't be an Easysubli color profile when using SubliJet ink. 2) Is there something special to do since Easysubli paper is 8.4 x 11 instead of 8.5? 3) How did you cut this in Cricut Maker without using Print Then Cut. Thanks!

@@JohnsonPlasticsPlus im new to sublimation How do you set registration marks in the cricut? I have a Maker 3 I' ve never done anything like this before. Is there a video you can direct me to? thanks
The transfer feels a bit like a heavy screen print once transferred, but does have a good amount of flexibility and bend to it. You can machine wash shirts with the transfers (inside out) and tumble dry, but it's recommended you wait 24 hours after you transfer before first wash. That allows the transfer to fully cure. You can find further tech tips for EasySubli under the "downloads" section of the product page here: www.jpplus.com/siser-easysubli-heat-transfer-vinyl-8-4-x-11-28588
Transferring to the easysubli vinyl once on cotton is an awful idea because the temperature is so hot it scorches 100% cotton. I have tried 9 different brands of cotton onsies and they all turn permanent yellow if heat pressed above 175 degrees celsius. My machine has been tested and calibrated so its not my heat press. Plus there are no difference in brands of cotton onesies here in Australia and i am not purchasing overseas due to ridiculous covid delays and unreliability.
I mean if not printed directly to easysubli, plus you cant do intricate delicate cuts designs where you want spaces for shirt or fabric to come through and then heat the colour on top it never lines up and burns the fabric
