This is way cool. I'm going to shift my aircon, pool pump and Oven onto Aux. Keep the Aux load off battery setting high - like 95%. That way, during loadshedding during the day and the sun is shining, the PV will still charge my battery and keep it topped up - AND i can still run my non-essentials. If there is little to no sun, or during the night, and the grid goes down, the non-essentials will run till the battery reaches 95% and switch off. That is neat!
I have just had my 5kva Sunsynk installed with solar. I would like to know if I need to alter any wiring to make us of the aux port to allo excess solar to supply my geyser and over which are not connected to the inverter and are still directly from the DB/Eskom?
Is there any electrical potential hazard as Gen input could be Aux output depends on setting. And also how does safety regulations control this? When installed gen input inlet which is male probes which is only good for input otherwise exposed to live.
Hi I have 2no arrays’ 1 is 6kw 1is 3.8kw I really like your hybrid inverters & would like if I used your 6kw inverter will it be able to take these 2 arrays! I have been told that some inverters will only accept what they are designed to take & it doesn’t matter what size arrays are feeding into it?? Can you please advise as I am doing this project now & want to purchase inverter & 10iKWH batteries! Regards malachy.
I'm struggling with the PV side on the XL. It only use PV when AC is disconnected. But when AC is connected PV falls away and it reverts to AC and not PV. Please help?
Can you please make an detailed video on how to use the ac-coupling or micro inverter settings? my mi is shown, but i cant see where the power is going - lets say i get 600w by my MI and 5kw via solar. it will load my battery with 4.1kw and push 0.9kw to load... but where are these 600w from my MI? (there goes nothing to the grid in this moment) I guess i missed something - maybe i need to setup the time-table?! that the inverter uses those 600w. please help me and keep up the amazing work! greetings andy
Hello there I am wondering about the AUX micro inverter mode I have a Deye 8Kwt 1 phase inverter Also have powMR chineese 6.2 kwt inverter laying around and what if… I just plug the powMR with Grid and batteries connected to it it to AUX of main inverter Will i get like 8+6.2kwt (both from batteries) Or it works only with deye microinverters 2)Also a good question. If i try to use the AUX port asnon essential load. What is the max power i can click on it to be? Does the inverter becomes more powerfull in this setup (8kwt main load and like 1 or 2 kwt Aux load, 10 totall)
This is also my question - if the AUX port is powered only by battery, then surely it cuts off at the specced SOC ? So what then is the point of the "On grid always on" function (unless it overrides SOC setting)?
Another video on YT called "Aux Load Port" explains it better - at 6:55 OR If Enabled: AUX gets power from GRID. If Grid is out, AUX turns off when Battery = "Aux Load ON Batt"; AUX turns off when Battery
Contact Juan Ranwell at Herholdt's Electrical in Centurion. What that man doesn't know about Sunsynk inverters isn't worth knowing. I'm not sure that he does call outs, but if not then he'll put you in touch with someone who does.
