Good idea on unrolling the bale. I might suggest using a couple extra step in posts to put on the wire to put it on the ground, then drive over the wire while it is on the ground. One step in post on either side of the machine and bale. That is how I do it, and I can usually do it while the fence is still on because I never touch the wire with anything conductive, including myself!

That's is an option for sure. Thanks for watching.

I keep a broken/bent step on post in the gator and use it to lift up the wire and go under it (or over, depending). you can twist it on and then off pretty quick and it comes in handy for a bunch of other uses when the fence is energized.

Hello sir I have been using a similar setup to what you have there if your having any issues with the strap coming off the pointed end you can tap a soft block of wood onto it with a sledge hammer. This has worked well for me and saved a lot of frustration with the strap coming off. Also if you have the luxury of a helper having one on the 4 wheeler and another can walk next to the strap and push and pull on the strap as it is being pulled and it will effectively steer the bale. Just thought I would share what I've found to work.

@@KedeshFarm you could attach double bent PVC to the 4 wheeler and have the wire ride over you as you drive under the wire.

Cut a notch in some pvc and use it to hold up the wire and drive right under it

I have been messing around with something similar. I am going to cut big piece of white oak to guide it, and see if it stays on better

You call it Sage? We have it or something that closely resembles it........ I think it is Sweet Vernal grass, It seems to prefer soils that are vey acidic (needing Lime) Grows abundant down South.... In sparsely cultivated places..... In the Early years people would gather the entire dried plant, bunch it together bind it and make a House Broom, hence it became known as "Broom Straw" Being as we Grow and sell Hay commercially we stay on top of out Fertilizer and Herbicide program....

I grew up in Mississippi and actually used it as a broom. Thanks for watching.

Spend a few dollars and get a phone holder and a clip and perhaps a fuzzy cover for the end with the mic. Your channel will thank you.
