Hey Novation! I ❤ my LPP3, but it has some shortcomings that I know you could fix to make it a much-much better gear: -Individual note mute for the drum sounds. -Beat repeat or note repeat (like on the Circuit Rhytm). -Record from the Chord mode to the sequencer. -Custom pattern changes (like on the OG Circuits latest firmware). -An arpeggiator. Thank you, if you consider these possibilities!
It's one of my favorite music production gears of all time and it'll be amazing if they made a new one. But they implemented it hard on the Launchkeys so I'm not very sure if it'll come out anytime soon.
so soO goOD ! ...iam still learning by doing...love it as sequencer ... like the circuit og. that was such a fast learning curve because of its intuitivity to play with. Hope my workflow with the launchpad pro as hardware sequencer will also works as well anyday! ... also love to get the chance to play with the 8 track sequencer from your Kyes "Novation 49sl mkiii" ... a "SUMMIT" Synth or the "PEAK" by the way 🤷♂🤦♂ ✌😜 & 💚
Hi, I have a small problem with Launchkey37, I'm working in Cubase, when I switch the Launchkey to Drums mode, all the pads turn off and stop lighting. Pads work, I can drum, but no lights. On the other hand, in Ableton Live, everything works fine and the pads light up. Can you please advise me what I should do so that the Pads light up in Cubas as well. Thank you
That's right. Drum Mode is designed for use with Ableton Live and won't look of behave the same with Cubase. The Pads LED status is determined by the presence of samples and they're divided into four 4x4 areas, each of which represents the areas of the Ableton Live Drum Rack.
Basically stuff that was introduced with the 1.8 update of the novation circuit - micro step recording and editing for each single note and single note velocity editing for different notes on the same step.
Using note mode while dawless, have to go to settings to change midi channel. Would be nice to use the track select to on second bottom row to change midi channel. Also, I use two LPpros. In sequencer mode, any incoming midi on the slave/synched LPpro is played on the current selected midi channel even if the incoming midi is on a different channel.
Not quite. Whilst the original Launchpad Pro can be used standalone, for hardware control without a computer, it doesn't feature a sequencer. If you have an original Launchpad Pro and would like to create a similar workflow, you might want to explore some of the custom firmware versions that have been created by the community, like this one - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hZhMxONI00Y.html
That's right. We're working with the Launchpad Pro [Mk3] standalone sequencer here which isn't a feature of the original Launchpad Pro. You could achieve a similar workflow on the original Launchpad Pro by taking advantage of its open-source firmware to upload a custom firmware, such as 'ThirtyTwo' - github.com/faqteur/ThirtyTwo
Unfortunately from what iv read the thirty two firmware means losing the ableton connectivity, so I would have to pick between functions, or keep updating firmware every time I want to switch from daw to dawless.
That's right. It will impact Ableton Live functionality. Loading custom firmware essentially requires the removal of the current firmware so will completely change the way the Launchpad functions.
We're very sorry to hear that. Have you watched this video yet? We explain how to get started - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rgCv1h1hSUI.html
That's right. The Launchpad Pro [Mk3] sequencer doesn't currently feature CC automation or aftertouch sequencing lanes but we appreciate your feedback on this.
Indeed; replace "Power" with "Control" and we've got something; because the video does have valid suggestions on using the LP with the Pulsar and Firebox. Perhaps "Fun ways to control and modulate your synths with the Launchpad Pro!"
@@SandcastleTheory Oops, sorry about that! We meant it as in 'driving' and 'controlling' but thought 'powering' was a bit more exciting. Apologies for the confusion, we've switched it to avoid anymore 🫡 We appreciate your support!
