Looks like I am going to have to add one of these to my arsenal of Reveal gen 1 cameras. I have put gen 1 overlooking scrapes from a height of 10 feet or so from the ground to help prevent theft and have gotten some great pictures this way but I have seen by viewing the videos that some of the older bucks don’t like the infrared lights. Sometimes as buck works limbs over the scrape he ends up looking right at the camera lol. Another advantage of no glow is that other hunters will not see leds light up as they are walking in or out in the dark. Yes I hunt public land often. Nice explanation you did here. Thank you!
Good idea putting it up higher. I placed one over a scrape this year and the first night the buck thrashed my camera. Great video before it went off line.
Just added one of these - looks super. I will say, seeing what the camera "sees" on the older Reveal models ON YOUR PHONE during setup was super nice. Much easier to see when you're a distance from the cell camera. I haven't checked yet to see if that's still an option with the Pro or if you're just somewhat stuck squinting at the in camera screen from a distance to see the red line vs. say your belt height or if you just need to study it a bit up close, find a branch bush, etc. that the line is covering and then go check the height. Bottom line - using the phone for the setup on the old versions was hard to beat. Seemed like an on-camera screen was pretty unnecessary to me. Great cameras overall - love em.
I would like to see the check in picture feature to be adjustable and not preset to 1 am, like the gen 2 is. Also, the burst should be 2-3 pics then send. Pic send, pic send the deer is gone by then. Idk if that’s fixed for these yet. Overall great cameras though.
I have 14 reveals of different flavors and love them. I just purchased my first pro. But I think I’d prefer the setup picture be sent to my phone. If I’m standing 40 feet away and want to precisely aim, I won’t be able to see screen on camera from that distance.

I have several camera this new pro model turns off and on a little different than the previous models. If all my settings are correct in the app and all I want to do is hang it on a tree, check that its pointed right and walk away I can just hit the power button make sure its in work mode and shut the door, walk away?
I can remember just a few years back if I had a question about my Tactacam 3.0 and 5.0 weapon cameras, it was easy to call and talk to a real person. Now almost impossible. With the mega revenue these Reveal generate, you’d think they would hire more customer service reps. 🤷🏻♂️
Has this camera ability to take picture or video whenever you desire not when someone walk by? I want it to install the cam up in the tree and look from there what is going on when I want to.
@@vamaveche09 you’ll be able to request photos whenever you desire on this camera, but not video. The pro 3.0 has both on demand photo and video options.
I love tactacam but the whole "you have to cancel your data plan" to change carriers is a problem. There is no way to know which carrier is the best for your spot until you try it. Also, please fix the iOS app so that it shows badges like the android app does
This camera Sounds a lot like the XB. My question is will this camera take multiple pictures and send them in standard instant send mode ? I’m really curious about the Hybrid mode
Is there an alert feature with the GPS if the device is moved? It would be a great anti theft feature to get alerted if the camera moves, say 5 or 10 feet as to not get alerted if an animal rubs against it and just bumps it.
It will take a picture of the person stealing your camera and send it to you right away if you’re on the cellular plan. It just happened to someone I know.
Hi I have 3 Xpros. For some reason I always have a problem powering all of them on. Everyone has brand new batteries and the proper firmware and SD card. Sometimes they eventually turn on sometimes they won't turn on it's pretty aggravating to be honest with you. I try to press the button quicky that doesn't work then I try to hold it down for a while and that's sporadic. Any suggestions on what might be going on would be greatly appreciated. Ty
Anyone here have any info on using SD cards with lower ratings than what they recommend? I current have a Sandisk Class 10, U 3, 80/mbs card, it's close but not quite, maybe it'll still work?
