Another advantage I have found for B&W when magnified is as a reminder that you are not looking at the full image

Hey Jason! I have all of your R5C videos saved! Thank you I u! I do have a question though, and only because I trust your testing and knowledge... is there a solution to power the R5C via usb-c all while transferring data to an Atomos for example?

Hi there, great video as always, non related question: you recommend the Anker 747 USB Power Bank for R5C, i was wondering if this powerbank can continuously charge the battery while operating/recording? i have a r6mk1 and i always want to have it ''wireless charged'' so to speak without using a dummy ac adapter.

Neither the R5 or R5C can be powered and charge the battery at the same time. It doesn't matter what power bank you use the camera is the limiting factor. However, in the case of the R5C, the battery is not used once the USB-PD power has been established. In fact, you can remove the battery from the camera and it will continue to function as long as the USB-PD power isn't interrupted. On the Anker 747, it works to power the camera, but I'm not sure I can recommend them anymore. I've had 2 partially fail on me at about the 1 year mark. I'm not sure what the root cause was, but ultimately they'd burn out a USB-C port when recharging at some point. Currently, I'm using a SmallRig NPF advanced battery plate (gives me USB-PD for the camera) instead. In many ways I prefer it as it's smaller and lighter overall. That said, I'm currently looking for a new USB power bank both to power the camera and for general use.

@@PointsInFocus I often work in corp events, currently as a solution i want to try the AIMTOM Portable Solar Generator, 42000mAh 155Wh Power Station, put the dummy battery ac, and connect to the generator as a power source, the only obvious draw is that the cable will be shown, but i think with a backpack putting the generator with a little hole on the bag can be a option. too, sounds crazy but im kinda done with the batteries giving me limitations to recording, with this ive also read that using the dummy battery ac gives me less heat to the camera, thanks again for your feed back, keep up the awesome videos, cheers from Ecuador.
