Apologies for the sound I ended up having to use the camera reference sound as the cable to my external recorder developed a fault.

hi, thanks for the video. Can you tell if the Metz or the olympus can achieve high speed sync faster the 1/160s? Say sbout 1/8000s?

Basically any Olympus Flash with R in the designation will high speed sync i.e. the FL600R. With the Metz guns it depends upon the model, my 44AF1 doesn't. High speed flash is a function of the flashgun and not the camera. So when buying an independent check carefully in the specs. Some of the higher Metz guns do do HSS, but I'm afraid I can't tell you which ones.

Thanks for the demo. My flash head lifts up no problem but stubbornly refuses to rotate. It seems jammed. Any suggestions?

Hi Esther Thanks for dropping by and watching the video. Are you pressing in the release button on the side of the head. You need to do this to both rotate and lift. Other than that can't think of anything sorry.

Why does the video light flash when I'm using as a remote flash

It's annoying isn't it. Olympus use it to remind you that you're in remote flash mode and you can't switch it off. A bit of tape works wonders.

Although I thought it seemed like it was going to be too long to watch through, you certainly explained some of the features that I have yet to get a good explanation on the proper use. Would love to know one thing when using RC mode, is there a way to turn off the annoying LED strobe? I noticed in the video, it was doing the same and I am guessing it is what it is.

+Ryan DeCorby No you can't turn off the LED. It is very obtrusive. I've now covered mine with a bit of gaffer tape.

Hi Paul, very nice video. I`m going through all the steps and it works really fine. But I'm stucked because (and maybe is a silly question)...how can I go back to the RC menu to setup the flash to manual mode? so sorry but I can´t ! thanks in advance !

im using RC . but i dont want to use the on flash on camera. can i turn it off some how ?
