hello, im using hydras with steam vr but when i get 50 cm away from the base it starts jumping and becomes very unprecise... what can i do to make this work again?

sorry bro but when i connect my hydra it just shows it as 2 hexagons with a 'c' inside them any idea what im doing wrong

It's a shame Razer discontinued the Hydra controllers before the VR boom. I tried contacting Razer directly to see if they had any plans for a re-release, but unfortunately they said no. These controllers were made ahead of their time I guess.

cool video. however I cannot for the life of me get the drivers to work for steamvr. I downloaded the latest drivers, and can see the motion working under visualizer, but it will not show as a controller on steamvr. I tried adding a line in steamvr settings but seem to be unsuccessful. can you copy and paste a generic settings list I can copy and paste in notepad if you think it will help? thanks

Hi, it's 2017 but for some reason i want to buy the dk2 + razer hydras. Should i or just save money for a htc vive or oculus touch.

I would most definitely wait and buy and oculus or vive. personally i like the oculus a lot right now, but I think both headsets are great!

question you use a room scale for the hydra and steam vr or use other cobfiguration the room???

I've used both without issues) Lately using stand scale regardless because its easier to set up.

yea, using the software that comes with the hydra you can use it for any game on your PC.) w/o the HMD

my controllers are to far away from me in the vr world?? they work fine apart from this. I am using pimax 4k head set with the hydra. in advance room scale I have no base station either. could it be this?

Yes. First thanks for reply:) I have a base station for hydra but it dose not show up in the advance room settings. I have worked away around it now. If my vr vive controllers in the vr world are not like in front of me I use both middle buttons on the hydra and put them just behind my shoulders and a little behind me instead of at the side of my head to reset the position then bring the controllers in the vr world back in front of me and it seems to do the trick. Thumbs up for doing what you do:) helped me loads. Ive been playing pavlov which is amazing and just trying robo recall today:) £20 though:( Enjoy!!!! DM

Here's the thing while that's cool if you have a razer hydra what about playing razer hydra games with the vive controllers/headset or playing gear vr/cardboard/daydream games on the vive

Sick! Now this makes it possible to have a similar experience as vive system but at half the cost which is awsum for those who cant afford a vive.

the tracking is not as good on the rifts camera or the Hydras...also can only do 180 degree tracking not 360... which is a problem for alot of games

+TheMinecraftFox Definition of similar in English "Having a resemblance in appearance, character, or quantity, without being identical" Me and Reality Check are well aware of the shortcomings of both the rift DK2 and razor Hydras as we have had them for well over a year now....

Was thinking of buying the Razer Hydra after I saw the post on reddit. Found one for 40 euros, but decided not to. Will wait for Touch.

ImmersiveGamer83 I know, they often sell for ridiculous prices, same with DK2. But that's mostly on ebay, the prices there are retarded and so unreasonable. Cheaper here in Sweden :P Still, didn't feel it was worth the money anyway, I'm too lazy to resell for profit. Touch and Vive controllers are way better... I don't want to buy some gimpy crap that doesn't work perfectly, which Razer Hydra doesn't. And they are also attached, and most games on Vive are 360 anyway which is not good with my DK2, and they are made for a distance of 3 feet from the unit, and I want to stand further away. Anyway, not worth it to me.
