I gotta hone down those filters lol Really interesting how you sync it up with your work so you just need to switch to the project and you're ready to go. I need to design a school page like that as well 👀

Making diff class filters would be quite cool, I'm sure you can have the same filters (hw, tests, etc.) on each class and then create a filter group that shows those + specifically one class

You use a TodoList site, I'm making my own TodoList site. We are not the same. Haha, jokes apart nice video Mark.

Hi Mark. Thanks for this video of how you use Todoist. With this many projects, and with some projects having 100s of tasks, do you find Todoist slowing down or becoming more buggy? I used to have numerous large projects like you, but was starting to have problems with Todoist such as syncing and slowing down. What has been your experience with pushing Todoist to its limits? Thank you.

Hey, super glad you enjoyed the video! Have I noticed /slowness/? Surprisingly, no. I've never experienced large load times or lag in the application when switching between projects (i.e. "lifestyle NYU" having 267 tasks). A rare exception here and there I'm sure, but nothing noticeable or significant. That could be due to so many hidden as subtasks in my columns. Given that Todoist is running on Chromium, I haven't really thought about it I suppose. What I HAVE noticed is that Todoist will stall sometimes, but never while I'm using it. I'll have to go into Task Manager and force quit the application process(es), but it's always after I tabbed out of Todoist and tried to tab back in ("tab" as in ALT + TAB). Hope that helps!

Hello Mark. Can you share the resources that you are following in order to learn Golang?
@markbacon78
@markbacon78 Год назад
For sure! At the beginning, I used Derek Banas' course for Golang. That was truly a syntax speedrun for people who are already developers. The documentation is also pretty straight forward if you want to make a small web server or something to get your hands dirty. Got some HTTP requests working with hits to the Twitter API a couple months ago (before I abandoned the project due to Twitter's current state). I briefly went through a course on Udemy as well, but that was pretty generic. I'm currently walking through a book called Head First Go- very great for beginners in general but not so much so that it spends time re-explaining concepts programmers already know. That's currently what I'm spending the "30 minutes of Go" task on :) You can skim some material if you're used to it, and I tackle the end-chapter projects on my own before looking how the book explains it (goes well in depth). I really like how it explains the design choices of Go, not just telling you "it is what it is". Looking forward to how the basics come together to form the procedural strengths of Go. I'll talk about it in the future "March Reading Ramble" a bit more for sure, alongside the other programming book(s) I've read. End of the day, this is all to create a stronger foundation for myself since I'm involved more and more with golang in my job. A large chunk of our codebase is involved in Go and by working through that I'm picking up a lot on conventions and what it's like to be working in a procedurally oriented programming language. Definitely best to get your hands dirty whilst you learn! Hope that helps, thanks for dropping by the video 🔥

@@markbacon78 Thank you! I am already aware about Derek Banas Golang learning resources, but thank you for the suggestion. It means that these are great, as well as the content you produce. Keep going 😄

It seems to me that you have more the one 2ed brain lol [You don't have to say if it's personal but] Also, are you working for a JP Software company?? You do so much language training that you may not use where you are living. もっと練習しなければいけないことがある, MikuMikuDance モデルの作成に取り組むときに直面する多くの問題。

I've been doing near-zero language training recently :\ Portuguese for a few months at the start of the year but I fell off Japanese and Portuguese. Nonetheless, I'm not working for a JP Software company- but that would be cool!
