I have the gathering food was using as per your instruction, doing a pillow ruffle, one side perfect, started on the oher side and it will not ruffle. the fabeic is kinda upholstery and a bit slick, but not very think. I tried on a piece of cotton and it is perfect. It does not like that tyoe of fabric? Really liked your video the knobs on the left side drive me crazy, nice to find somebody to tell me how to set them. Must have read the manual 10 times, and it does not click.
What setting would you use for 8 times the length (the skirt that needs to gather) with the bodice? Even a rough idea? The gathers would need to be quite tight I imagine?
Hi! You would tighten your left and right needles to a higher setting. Sew for example: Instead of putting dials at 5, you would do 6, 7, or 8. However, with that said. The tighter you make the ruffles you have a higher chance of breaking your threads when serging. I'd try 6 maybe 6.5 and see if that's what youre looking for. And ALWAYS test on a scrap piece first.
