Thank you , it means a lot. only thing is your PG wont be useful in USA- what I mean, but it will not get any favor in the application. you have to do a residency to practice in the USA, even if you do a fellowship here, you cannot practice after a fellowship training, if you are planning to stay in USA, SL pg will be a waste. for PG ortho he has to get usmle step 2 very high marks and orthopedic research. also keep in mind recent graduates match more than old grads- they have cut offs 5 years in most programs, but there are programs without cutoffs. I will talk more in future videos.

it is not impossible, if you work for that , definitely doable. if you crazy want it, then you can even do it as a second residency( after going in to easy residency first and build your application towards ortho and then do another ortho residency.) it is long , but possible.

no Pathway 6 does not need SLMC. SLMC registration is for pathway 1- this was the case at the time I made this video.( i think i made a mistake in this video i mention 6 instead of 1) until recently Pathway 3 was pending. But now they have given the accreditation to SLMC . now those who graduate from Jaffana, japura, pera, Ragama, colombo, ruhuna, rajarata can come with our internship!! before covid it was just like this, no need internship.

yes. few regulations have changed agin. now we can apply without internship

high marks usually above 260 in step 2 and orthopedic-related publications. it is competitive but possible.

It depends on lots of things- above average step 2 marks, less than 5 year Year of graduation has the best chances, also observerships.
