I've been a letter carrier for 36 years and this is the kind of behavior that makes us look like a bunch of jerks. She has no authority to park in a no parking zone and can assure you she was told that in training. Also, LOL, this is a supervisor's dream street observation. She did not curb her wheels upon parking, I can confidently assume the parking brake wasn't set. The vehicle was unattended with the door open, she didn't have a satchel on her shoulder while delivering, was not wearing postal approved shoes and probably more.
I'm a retired carrier as well. Her brain(or lack there of) could not process the fact she was in a no parking zone and felt "threatened" by the FDNY and people filming her. Most likely wont be fired as the USPS appreciates and needs anyone who shows up for work.
I've got 26 years in a a letter carrier. It sounded like she started the engine and got out of the truck to record. If your butt isn't in the seat, the engine should not be running. Do the job right and you won't look and act like her.
It's weird how she cares about moving now that she's unable to move the truck. Then she acts as if they blocked her in and it's not her fault. Going around filming like she's getting proof that it's someone else's fault.
I hope they fire her fine her and throw her dumb-ass in jail for a very long time but she's privileged so she'll get away with it like always and continue to do it because who cares If you say anything you'll be considered a racist
@@grzegorztarkowski7954 it doesn't! Were have you been? Under a rock All the crazy sjw's! Crazy libtards! Crazy antifatards!! It's a dummy thing! Not a race thing! Did you see the Crazy lady on stage yelling at someone in the audience, for not wearing a mask, and she didn't have one on?

then do something about it, tell us who her supervisor would be and let us at them. I have already forwarded this to my two Senators. I am tired of people like this getting hired, but they won't hire my kid? Sorry but if you don't report this, you are as to blame as she is.
Hope her supervisor sees her fantastic attitude & professionalism, especially aimed at fellow civil servants. Imagine how she treats regular customers on her route. What a miserable person!
Management IS the reason she’s behaving this way. Make the office numbers at all cost. That’s the only thing management truly cares about. They’ll pay lip service to safety, etc. But it’s only lip service. It’s the same with management at Amazon, UPS, FedEx. Numbers numbers numbers.

She’s one of those ones that steal voting ballots and stash them in their garage in order to prevent people from voting. I hope they don’t plan to do that crap again.
I am an instructor in the Carrier Academy, I assure you she was trained to never park at a fire hydrant, no parking zone and to keep her truck locked insuring security of the mail. How did the supervisor even let her hit in without postal shoes? Brooklyn supervisors need to do more street observations. My apologies to FDNY and the public.
All jokes aside we all have prejudices. You guys just happen to be racist. Two things can be true at once YES SHE IS A HORRIBLE CARRIER and yall be racist. Affirmative action hire lol. Getting postal routes or almost every other positions are bid on.
As a black firefighter who has driven an engine, I am glad that it was the brother who confronted her. That way she cannot claim that it was racially motivated. I would have done the same thing. I would have told my crew to step back and let me talk to her. Send that video to the postmaster general. I have never seen such a blatant disrespect.
@@DixiecratDemocrat It isn't the fact that no one can call her out (they can, and should), you have to consider a person's motive. My mother taught me to look at the big picture of how things can come across to others. With all of the racial issues of today, it just looks better. it also helps keep the department out of hot water.
At that point the firefighters have no reason to be blocking her in, she was clearly attempting to move from the spot but they preferred to make a scene out of it and prevent her from doing her job
@@randallnonya7298 She was blocked in, they literally told her the only way for her to leave would be to back out of a one way street, which is just as much of a safety issue as parking there to begin with
Postal policy says USPS have to abide all traffic laws. Also, no USPS employee can step out of a postal vehicle while the vehicle is on. This USPS employee needs training and written up.
Also all emergency vehicles have to stop for red lights until they have been given to ok to go thru I got a 70 dollar ticket from a cop going to structure fire
I agree. I sent a letter to El Paso from Toledo. Took 2.5 weeks. Why did my letter go from Toledo ( oh yeah they shut down the main postal hub in Toledo), went to Pontiac Michigan, then to El Paso. When I lived in Florida, it took 3 days to get a card send there to Toledo. Overpriced BS. They don't have any integrity anymore. But always want more money. And the counter people treat you like s**t.
As a letter carrier myself, this really gets under my skin!! I deliver to the courthouse, .911, the D.A, police department and the main FIRE DEPARTMENT!! I would NEVER ever block a fire truck and/or any emergency personnel!!!! And I know this would completely embarrassing any carrier retired and active right now!!
they are allowed to park in the no parking zones. An exception is made for the USPS. Also, there was no emergency for the firemen, so they have no standing to sue.
@astroprotector There's no exception for blocking the entrance of a firestation or a fire hydrant. The vehicle can't receive a parking ticket, but the driver can be cited, the vehicle towed, or the postmaster can be notified.
She’s throwing packages!!!!! This is what happens when you tell someone that they’re victims and that the world owes them something. The entitlement of these .. people..is off the charts. I really hope she gets fired.
Beyond the bad parking, and poor attitude that could/should get her letters of warning at the very least. The fact that she was not in the truck while it was running should get her fired under a zero tolerance policy on that very issue. The USPS pays out tens of millions every year for damages, injuries, and lost time due to vehicle accident's. For the most preventable causes such as leaving the seat of a running vehicle, and a few other totally negligent offenses they have a termination policy in place. Not to mention the obvious fact that this is a very bad image to project to the public from an agency going through rough times needing some government relief.
@@joegallagher9654 i have family that works for the post office.. you can not show up for like 6 months and not get fired. And if anyone complains you can file a grievance against them..

Unfortunately, USPS while expected to conform with all traffic rules and regulations as well as parking laws, as government vehicles, cannot actually be fined or forced to pay any fines from actually being ticketed. There is an article where Kanas City is owed tens of thousands of dollars from the US Govt for unpaid mail truck parking violations that will never be paid.

Unfortunately, the USPS postal service is full of terrible employees like that on all levels. Respect to the First Responders for doing the job that they do, day in and day out!
Firemen are the one civil service employees you just NEVER EVER EVER mess with. These guys risk their lives to save yours. They run into burning buildings to drag your half dead ass out. Their entire lively hood is based on putting their life at risk for others.
@Dingus99268 How does the fact that it's their job change anything? They are still risking their lives to save others. That is a noble profession. Are you not understanding the original comment?
Wow, goes to show USPS has gone downhill since I resigned. I loved and respected all my customers, help those in need, used my truck to pull someone out from the snow bank, built a relationship within the community I deliver to everyday. Restaurants, churches, fire stations, local PD, schools, businesses.. at the end of the day, its respect.. and this lady has none of it. I mean just look at how she's parked says it all.
A few bad apples in USPS does not define the entirety of it, just like any profession. People working in NYC just have more attitude no matter what job.
@@brennancrumb835 nope. It ain’t. Not an excuse anyways, go shout totally legal racial slurs in LA and bring whatever bloody pulp is left of you to report back to us on your legalities.
I can’t believe the USPS hires garbage people like this given the fact that firefighters put their lives on the line and for this idiot to have so much blatant disrespect for them. SHE SHOULD BE FIRED.
Typical gatekeeper mentality, "I don't move for anybody until I'm good and ready. The more you ask, the longer I take." It's sad, most people that deliver the mail aren't like that, most of them have a good reputation in the community for good reason. Then this slug comes by and dumps on the whole thing.
This "person" has no respect for others trying do their job. As a retired letter carrier, I hope she gets disciplined, but if she does it won't be anything more than a slap on the wrist. Also, she is out of uniform, unless they allow tennis shoes now. I've worked around a lot of unprofessional carriers in my career and sadly, she is disgusting, but not the worst I've ever seen. It's like she feels she is in the right and her "community" will defend her if she is disciplined.
I totally understand why she did it. I do deliveries and I drive a large semi box truck and a lot of time in order to make a delivery I have to park in areas that are not convenient for other people and they just got a f****** wait for me to do what I got to do. Usually my deliveries are done in less than 5 minutes somebody can't wait five f****** minutes for me to do a delivery they can suck my balls. This mail lady is on a crowded street she has very limited area to park maybe she just should park right in the middle of the f****** Street and block everybody that's what I think she should have done it you f****** assholes. She was probably there only 10 or 15 minutes. And I'm pretty sure she didn't think that a f****** fire truck was going to pull up at that moment while she's unloading unless there's fire trucks backing in there every f****** 10 minutes. Everybody's in a f****** Rush anymore but sure they're not going to f****** stop to help somebody if they're on the side of the road broke down you're just going to keep on going because most of the people commenting on here are a bunch of selfish sons of b*****
@1islander52..... your obviously a closet racist or maybe you're just straight out about being racist and that's not the end of your ignorance. Because obviously you feel entitled also. He said she has no respect for others while they work how about if somebody respected a mail carrier trying to do a job on a crowded street with no parking. Maybe you deliver letters on rural areas where you can drive where the f*** you want because the houses in the area you delivered were probably a quarter mile apart. But when you're in city limits in a Big Town there is no parking in the streets where the hell do you expect her to park? And I guarantee to you this is a regular practice for her on this street and most of the time she has not had to deal with the fire department trying to back in because I imagine they're not trying to back in every 10 minutes and I'm pretty sure her route only kept her there for about 15 minutes tops. So why don't you tell us about how you had to part three blocks away from a street because there was no parking for you in order for you to deliver mail and you had to walk all that distance just to deliver to people on the street because there was no parking for you because you obey the f****** law and you won't parking at no parking area. You're a f****** scumbag shut the fuk up
No repercussions, no reason to respect the law. Our society has reached a point of neglect to what is right. Being respectful to others in any fashion does not cost any of us anything.
I hope you forwarded this to USPS and she got fired. Intentionally parking in a fire zone and refusing to move when a fire truck comes for an emergency is totally narcistic and dangerous behavior. She is putting civilians lives at risk with her despicable behavior and that calls for a termination of employment.

You think this is acceptable behavior?
@OMB ZAY 🅱️🐝 That postal worker was NOT being a good citizen, and @Jeff W did not make even the slightest suggestion about anything racist. YOU should quit ranting.
Is anybody really surprised? She's just blocked her in from going anywhere for 30 minutes. Then call her supervisor and say this is why your deliveries are late. And call NYPD and have them write her a ticket for parking in yellow zone.
That should be a termination. Fire Department need the right to forcibly remove vehicles parked in no parking areas in their way, use grappling hook and under vehicle grab the axle and use tow hook on truck to drag them out with no responsibility for damage. Bet Post Master would be happy with her then.
Trust me when I say this, if they were blocked INSIDE the garage? They would absolutely positively had bulldozed that truck out of the way to respond to an emergency.

I find it quaint, your argument of Morality against Federal Law. The Laws made in government have no basis in Morality or the good of the People. Only the good of the Government. This should be abundantly clear to everyone, especially in this current administration. But back to sworn uniform officers of the United States government. I was working EMS in Brooklyn and had a USPS truck park Right on our bumper. We where inside with a 10 yr old asthma patient when he pulled up on our truck. People asked him to move and he just went on his route. Thankfully he got in his truck JUST as we came up to the back of our ambulance with the patient. .
