Here's some nostalgia. Back in the '70's I was attached to VA-34 BLUEBLASTERS A6 Intruders out of NAS OCEANA, VA. I toured on the JFK-CV67 and then our airwing broke the Dwight D Eisenhower CVN69 in brand new. I do miss the responsibility of launching A-6's. Crazy to think the IKE has been refueled once already with those 50 yr reactors. Makes me feel older. 😊

I remember those days. I was stationed in San Diego for 12 years. Started on the USS Marvin Shields FF 1066 and then went to the USS Valley Forge CG 50. It was a good ways from the 32nd St. naval base to the open ocean at a snails pace and a lot of times we would stop by the weapons pier to onload for an exercise, which would take another hour or so. It was a time to get your mind ready for the at sea routine of watches and work.

6:33 Damn, sounded like some good surfing! 4 to 6ers? Miss those days of summer in the 80s, leaving after the last day of school in Phoenix and heading to Redondo for....well... Trying to stay outta trouble and catching some waves. More like...trying not to get caught! 80s were fun. Just wish I could remember more ...lol!

Talk cheap, especially for the weak. Anyone looking to "take the gloves off" with the United States Navy🇺🇸? Iran? China? Russia?? Bet not. Thanks to all currently serving, all those who honorably served the greatest navy in history...with chapters yet to be written. Much love. Admiration from USAF 1986-90. Go Air Force, beat Navy!!🇺🇸
