We're back @everyone with another ship breakdown as we go over the USS Titan-A in STFC. Released this month as part of Legacy Pt. 2 it's the first ship to utilize an AOE (area of effect) ability which makes a unique addition to any player's arsenal. But, is it any good? I do agree the Titan-A could have done something else. I still want the Titan-A in game, though. More ships is a good thing (IMO) not a bad thing.

I'm disappointed that such a beautiful model is wasted on a support ship. Would have been better, perhaps to have had the Reliant for this purpose (during a Wrath of Khan Arc? We can only hope). But your point about "need more docks" is pretty serious. The purchase price for the extra docks either needs to come down (way, way too expensive for me as a low spender), or there need to be a new free-to-play path to build one or more of them. Thanks for the insights - very helpful. I can see why I need to start the drip feed now.

I have the same issue that's discussed at 7:51 with the Defiant. I don't even get one use a day from that, it takes a couple days to get enough for a single Defiant buff. The amount you get from cerritos is a lot more reasonable and promotes use

I'm a lvl 43 3 year f2p vet. My defiant is amazing, with its generous warp range I use it for grinding those pesky upper 40s hostiles, missions and of course jem hadar solo armadas. Will get titan a free tomorrow, hence watching your vid, rev

SgtEppy here. 4 minutes once a day OR 12 minutes every few days means the ship lays in mothballs for 23 hours 56 minutes a day. Is that a $100 value? I am Ops 55 so FOR ME, it was a waste. I hope they make changes otherwise it will sit next to the Cerritos and only come out on Wednesdays (or daily for the drip I guess).

My only complaint about the Titan is that it's combat abilities suck. Boost the attack power and you have a much more viable "command ship," something that can drop into a combat zone and fire off it's ability and can reasonably fight off any enemy ship that is in range of it. Don't make it crazy powerful, maybe as powerful as the ISS Jelly.

It's not a combat vessel it's stated in dialogue in the show... its an exploratory vessel its not a combat ship

Didn't even mention the Mantis. So now with my meager 5 docks, if I'm doing a TC, I've got my Sarco, Mantis, Cerritos, Titan eventually and one fighting ship or runner? Disco in the mix? Too many things to think about in the chaos of TC. During a TC I like to focus on my Sarco and running. That's it. I don't see the value in the Titan but DAMMIT does it look sexy.

I got it all wrong when Riker said he was on the "toughest, fastest, most powerful ship" Starfleet has ever put into service.. and wondered where that was with the Scopely Titan-A. Well, Riker was on the USS Zheng he, not the Titan. Still, STFC's Titan-A is NO WHERE near the wow factor Titan was praised about in Lower Decks either. Good ole Scopely!

Oh yeah I did pay half mantis to get free half mantis at end arc. I got almost half a year officer pulls and syndicate over full F2P officer. As F2P im pround to had spend 50 on that ship.

I like it and will get it when I get it. How I see it is for the veteran players the admiral the commodores. most players will get it it's free. And by it taking so long to get means you will better appreciate it. It's no doubt going to help me kill mission bosses and hostile captain.

Can't add rss during the free to play path. If you don't have the Titan those options are not available in the support tab.

So currently you can have a maximum of 8 Docking Bays. 6 for free and 2 you pay for. I think it's about time that they allow multiple ships on 1 Docking Bay. Graphically they can fit 3 altogether. So there should be a high level research to add additional space to Docking Bays once you have all 6. The two pay Bays can have extra spaces added for a cost since that's the way things work, I don't like it but that's Scopely's deal and it will keep the Whales happy.

Yes, that's what I've been wondering. The ex-Borg researches are MASSIVELY useful, and use the same currency. Is that a good idea to lose 12,000 of those credits that could go to those researches?

the daily needs to count ships buffed per 3k points and not per use, then both dailies are do-able every day.

@revDuece Scopely forgot to add the cloak to it. It gets a cloak re-fit in episode 7 of the show.

I'm on 94 bps on the F2P path. I'm glad I waited as there is just so much grind I can't keep up. Equally I don't mind that it will take years to max out. The amount of new stuff they throw at us I long ago decided I would be a Tortoise not a Hare. So I'll be pleased to get it but not excited.

They tested the "once a day" buff with the Defiant...should have complained then. Yes, the Defiant does do more, but it is really a one to two times a day buff based on the amplifier drip.

I just got this ship. Late, partly because of Eco's non working pips, and to my health. But the ship is a turd, and a waist of time. Avoid this ship if you can.

I actually paid for the defiant because it was a very iconic ship. Season 3 of picard feels like season 8 of tng. Which is great to me. With that in mind, . The titan a is cool but not that iconic that I would pay 100 dollars for it.

Al calculations are based on what u get daily I belive. This Battlepass has 51 and 102 extra QC with is around 7 days (with CC 25+-). If u folow until 29 dez its sure u will find more free ones with might take u to 40 before Xmas. On other hand Titan has near to no value to people with one FC and 25+- center. Its a whale ship for whale players that wanted a way to get rare SP. The only value for people low Comand Center and only one FC officer is if they stream STFC and need this ship cause it has an amazing value as new content for some of your audience that donates to you (im not talking bad of Deuce I'm just point facts).

I put no stock in buff ships and cloaking they don't allow you to use them effectively so that aspect scores a 0 their refinery payouts is the only reason to own one so no refinery payout no reason to persue

This game has gotten so bad over the last couple years. As someone approaching Ops 56, I can honestly say the cost to grow has outpaced the usefulness & value of their content. I can only hope SAVVY cleans house & makes worthwhile changes.

Agreed, they're creating new problems, not fixing old problems, and putting out content such as the last few ships I've really got no interest in. Make the core of the game more playable instead of only trying to extract as much money as possible from us.

Appreciate the video Rev and Scopley's wise decision to make this ship a 100-day free-to-obtain ship. I will say that this ship is mostly "MEH" as its abilities aren't frequently useable as Rev mentioned. This arc (3 days in) feels mostly MEH, especially concerning how epic Picard the show is attempting to sign off in its last season. Wish the game covering current Star Trek content aligned more closely.

The Titan Should be a combat ship. It should be able to stand on its own and be good for PVE and PVP. It wasn't made to be in the background.

Renaming this ship as Enterprise G has been an huge mistake. The Titan has a legacy registration by itself as Titan A. So as the Titan earned its legacy registration, the Enterprise earned its own new ship wich is state of the art and worth to be called the federation Flagship. So it never should has been renamed!

My problem with it is the fact that your ships have to already be in the same system at activation or the titan has to be the last ship to warp in if fortification is activated already. Learned that the hard way

@@slagdaricus I don’t. But if my ship dies and I bring it back why wouldn’t it be fortified? The ability says fortifies all ships in the system. Also if I send the titan to another system and back it resets and suddenly the resurrected ship is fortified again.

I'm so disappointed in this ship. The show has been epic so far but this is just a let down. The ship is weak. Being less powerful than a defiant doesn't narratively make sense but scopley has history here in ignoring this. The research is not good. Yes the numbers do look impressive at higher levels but by the time you reach that point, you have so much other research doing the same things you get diminished returns. Power creep has killed this ship before it even launched! And it all come back to the devs not understanding their own game

Devs aren't in charge of those decisions those are the content directors and so forth the devs just make what their told to work I am a game developer devs don't make the content we just make the functionality work
