Best Kirvani I have ever heard. The audience unfortunately did not seem to know when to applaud. Ustad Shahid Parvez' laykari in this performance was out of this world. The clarity of his notes and the speed of his tanakari is unbelievable. Ustadji has picked out the best characterestics of the baaj of Ustad Vilayat Khan Sahib and taken it to new heights of perfection. He is the most dedicated and thinking Sitarist of his times. A raga sees its total completion in his hands. Great!!!

The best Jhaptaal theka i have ever heard. The clarity and correct expressions of bols are a trademark of Panditji's style. Most versatile tabla player of the present era.

I am Speechless. I shall pray to God, that in my next birth I may please be blessed to get an oppertunity to be Ustadji's deciple to learn sitar from him. The tabla by Aninda Sir is far far above to any coment. Performence of both the legedary artist have mesmorised me.

Two masters of the instruments, coming together to create magic. The tabla is like a lady dancing and the sitar is the lady singing the song for that dance.
So beautiful performance by both. Pandit Anindo is such a well master on Tabla. But he does not show excitement when it comes to the sum. Like a nice strong tihai would be nice after building all that excitement.
Chris LEA what he said was that usually one hits the refrain 7 out of 10 times. But no, each time it should come accross like a bullet and hit exactly on the point.
@rizvista shahidji is a fantastic tabla player himself with a repertoire of qiadas which will put many lower ranking pandits/ustads to test. stop making foolish comments.
@blossomking01 i cannot understand whatoyu mean? of course shahidji is playing with anindo da. what i said was that shahidji is ALSO an excellent taba player and his repertoire of qiadas, peshkars etc will put many a tabla player to shame.
Basically these performances are all about time and profit. Looking at the watch so they don't over perform and just giving people a little of their performance capability. Not even breaking a sweat! I think on every performance they should give it all they have and build some excitement and shake the listeners and make them say WOW.
