Original Dusttale? Wth is that? You mean, the Novels? Or, Ask-Dusttale? If not, well, comics aren't canon. And Murder (the original nickname of Dust) - doesn't feel that great, either. As was shown in the comic, that was more of a "fanon dust", who feels "joy" by killing others?

I think papyrus acts a bit too naive. He still knows about your killing, and that you're probably gonna do the same to him. I don't see why it would be different with flowey

Because the point of the original AU was "Sans goes mad and kills monsterkind to defeat you". The focus isn't on Flowey. It just isn't Dusttale anymore.

@@mauro27279 Its strange it hasn't been done before because this way is honestly way more in character for both Flowey and Sans, not just a 'sans' in a coat of paint and fight scenario. Sans fighting you at the end of a genocide route is his last resort and not something he wanted to do, he also makes it clear he doesn't fully understand what the player is/is doing calling us an anomaly based on readings he has somehow, likely confusing us with Flowey's resetting antics he was up to for who knows how long before we came. Sans also even if he could understand resets better and could remember would likely give up trying to fight far before he'd snap and kill everyone. Likely even the timeline after we beat him for the first time if he remembered. Flowey on the other hand has been proven to remember our resets so if in the story of Dusttale the player decided to replay killing everyone hundreds of times he'd go crazy first and decide to at least try and change something. He'd basically be back to where he was before the events of the game, everything being so predictable except now someone else holds the power of the reset.

​@@pantman687 There is this thing - "Erase". And, as shown with Flowey, he can't remember "True reset". Similar to Erase, kinda? And, Sans truly doesn't remember. But, you can thank our dear Player from Dusttale, who, for an Idea - caused an error, or, bug - to happen (not confirmed, if Player did this, or, just the files got corrupted). Which leads to the fact, that Sans - suddenly got this ability to remember.

@@STrangeDude3834 In the first episode of this series,, the player beats Sans, then manually does a reset before killing Asgore and meeting Chara, so there aren't actually erases involved.

The lack of saving is because i was too lazy to edit all the save points fun fact about that by the way, all the save point times are actually accurate, since in the base footage, the cliff side and snowdin town are about 2 minutes apart so i edited it to be proper as for the player attacking, yeah, but I wanted it to be a bit inaccurate so it seems real

@@sonicthehedgehog1606 Ok, fair, I might have been to harsh with my statement. However, when typing this comment out, I was only really thinking of the original idea/fangame from 2016, which has a large list of issues. I’d be willing to check out other takes on this scenario.

@@sonicthehedgehog1606 If you want a more in depth analysis of what makes the 2016 version of dusttale a somewhat shitty AU, then I recommend watching the video by basedguy4229. In a more shortened sense, the au relies on a random realization by sans of every genocide run that happened(about 300 in this scenario) and then proceeds to go on a killing rampage to collect LV against the player, despite the fact that sans should already know that his efforts would be pointless with the human having infinite lives.

​@@Rottenishere There are no official games, comics or animations of dusttale, the only official thing is ask dusttale (it came out before the fangame, and evan's dusttale came out in 2018 i think). Plus, canon murder (dust's original nickname) has tried other ways before going on a rampage, all of them failed and killing was the most effective so he sticked with it, he still regrets killing his friends unlike "DuSt SaNs!!!" Btw canon murder dodges and changes patterns, which makes the human quit at the end

The original dust sans isn't even that much edgy imo, just sans with a hood on and a little bit of dust on his clothes (he still has white eyes most of the time and barely talks to the human) The only "edgy" thing would be his battle eye, even then he's not THAT edgy

it's been done before, literally was said to happen in original undertale. Flowey used to have the ability to reset and would causally do genocide routes out of boredom. This how i know 80% of the fandom hasn't even touched the game, bro. 💀

Eh, it’s alright, it lacks a lot of the qualities others have, like no custom music, since i can’t do music and the sprites and writing are a bit ehh at times (deliriouspersona being the whole reason the sprite art is amazing at some points)
