The Aggies took the lead with 1:48 left in the game behind Tannehill's touchdown pass to Fuller before. Justin Tucker responded for Texas with the game-winning field goal as time expired
I was at this game and let me tell you once that ball went through, Kyle Field fell silent. All you could hear was the Texas band and that was it. Everyone was in shock. I’ll never forget this game. It still gives me chills.
I saw this game with my family and relatives that fateful Thanksgiving of 2011. The whole room just erupted in cheers, everyone was on their feet except for one of my cousins. He was the only Aggie in the room and ate the rest of the pecan pie as revenge :)
Our rivalry with A&M resembles closely with Michigan-Michigan State. Hypothetically if the Spartans joined another conference, Michigan would drop them in a heartbeat.
Rolando Ramon Bullshit! Texas A&M keeps coming up with sad ass excuses not to schedule! Even begged and whined to SEC and NCAA not to play UT at the Texas Bowl this year, instead the Gaggies will play the Pokies.
ah, he has come so far, undrafted yet has the highest % for FG completion in the NFL, 2010's All-Decade kicker, several Pro-Bowls and All-Pros, and now has made the longest FG in NFL history...and it was for the win
As an Aggie: man that still hurts but what a fun game to watch back then; look forward to the series hopefully resuming soon with Texas joining the SEC. Gig 'em (from Austin)!
@@Titronnica i was hoping the same thing. UT sold out for money and wanted their own network....a la, Longhorn network, if they were smart, they would have followed suit and made it the big 12 network.
@@Jack_Greene too scared? lol, they moved to the SEC west where they have to play Bama, LSU and Auburn every year. I'd take facing Texas and OU over that, especially since Texas is mediocre as fuck now
@@BennyCBlaze and they lose to those schools every year. One thing is being part of a division, another is actually beating those team. If not then they could put any D2 team and say “hey we are in the sec” doesnt mean anything if you dont win. You want a moral victory for joining a division, its been almost a decade and nothing
Remember watching this game. UT did a halftime performance to honor the rivalry, and the aggies just had to make theirs a shot at UT. Then this sweet kick sealed the deal! Hell of a game. I do miss it.
This is my first time watching this video and ever seeing this game but as soon as I heard the name Justin Tucker, I was like welp, game over Texas wins.
Let me just say, as a lifelong Ravens fan, who has seen both good and bad (e.g. I've witnessed Stover, as well as Cundiff), Tucker is the one who lets me fall asleep in peace. Whenever this guy comes on you can pretty much pop the champagne. Extremely thankful for his consistency
Eight years later and ‘cooler heads’ have not prevailed. Disgraceful that this rivalry has not been renewed. It’s gone forever at this point. How’s that SEC working out for you A&M?
The real question is why y’all suck so bad in the big 12 where everyone in the big 12 has also been sucking? Haven’t y’all had a top class the last few years and are currently sitting 4th in the big 12? How’s that longhorn network working for y’all? How’s that head coach working for y’all? Keep hating on A&M we’ve moved on to greener pastures enjoy playing in the tampon bowl this year against the deaf dumb retard school of western Tennessee lol
More than a year later, he kicked a field goal against Denver in the 2nd overtime in that thriller of a game for the Ravens (Flacco Fling to Jacoby Jones game) and then went on to win the Super Bowl 47. Clutch is in his DNA ever since, it looks like.
@@SilverTheHedgehog090 haha a&m revolves around texas STILL. Have you heard your fight song? a&ms identity is hating texas and being texas' little brother. aggies always talk and hate on austin/ut. you guys absolutely need texas.
My first year of college at UT. I have a friend who swears on his life that a friend of his left Kyle Field before the kick. "Where are you going?" asked that young man's friends. "That's Justin Tucker," was his answer.
*This was in true University of Texas fashion.* We at UT won our first game against A&M, most of the games in between (by a Texas sized margin) and our last game. 🤘😎 HOOK EM!
Texas won the first football game over A&M they ever played, has more total victories against A&M, claimed more national titles than A&M, and won the last game they ever played against A&M. It's no wonder A&M didn't want to play Texas anymore.
