I'm gonna take you through a single series, Shane Buechele, is a freshman quarterback at that time, and Sterling Gilbert, a first year UT offensive coordinator. I'm gonna show you how he worked the first series of the game.
We'll discuss how to sustain drives and plays that kill drives too. There's a lot of RPO. Using a young quarterback with simple reads is a great concept for offensive coordinators. I love getting inside their mind a little bit. I'm not on the headsets. I don't know exactly what they were thinking in terms of their calls. But seeing how these guys call it getting a feel for it as an offensive coordinator, a coach yourself or a quarterback to understand the thinking is super important.
