Tyler is great. Meet him a few years ago. I contacted Utah Audio to order a new sticker for a B&W speaker i had. When it got it in, he met me there on his day off so I could get it. He was so patient and we spent some time listening to some speakers and I ended up walking out putting in an order for new speakers, all cause I was there to just get a sticker. I don't look like the type of guy that would go into one of those stores and purchase anything they have and they treated me with the up most respect and patience and that made me want to make the big upgrade. Now I pop into the store when I can to chat and see what's new. Great guy and great company.
Looks like an amazing shop and thanks for sharing this. One recommendation. In future videos please record in landscape mode. It is much more enjoyable to watch and gives more information.
Great video. I have come to now Tyler well in the past three months. He has been super patient with me as I am looking to update my speakers. I will be making a purchase from Tyler here either this week or next. Thanks Adrian!
Back in the late 70s, I sold hi-fi in New York City, this guy walks in with his girlfriend, wearing a Grateful Dead T-shirt, cut off jeans and flip-flops, the other two salesman completely ignored him. I introduced myself and asked if he would like to listen to a system I started off in our high-end room. an hour later I closed the sale for over $10,000. Be respectful and never judge a book by its cover.
@@adrianalexander2651 here’s a little fun fact I started selling hi-fi at the age of 15 making me the youngest Audio sales person in New York. At that time I worked for Tech hi-fi, Greenwich Village on eighth Street. And there are a lot of very fun and bizarre stories, and people that I met along the way, some people are still around, like Steve Guttenburg.
I went to a Wilson dealer in Sandy, and he knew I wasn't going to buy anything. I drive a Toyota Corolla, and he saw me pull in. He acted put out that I wanted to hear some Wilson Audio products. He did a demo for me, but I felt dismissed before we started. You NEVER KNOW who has a giant wad of cash in their pocket!
$5,000 or $10,000 might get you some interconnects and a few other odds and ends at that store. $100,000 budget and some great things can happened IF the customer has the correct listening room. Built in speakers might be best for a lot of people with a streamer/server/amp unit driving it. Living in Las Vegas, there are ZERO high end audio dealers, it is all about home theater and built in stuff.
lol typical salesman, your budget is too low, for an extra 5 grand you get this system! Because you know, most people who go to a high end audio store have Best Buy in mind. I hate going into brick and mortar stores for the simple fact that most salesman try to belittle you with your budget. That’s some of the reason why they slowly fading away. When you try to make people feel stupid and belittle them for what they can afford vs. what you going to try to sell them they usually never go back. The more expensive the equipment the more they make. They like car salesmen.
