Utah Lake Bowfishing - Spawn 2022 - Clubfishing 2 

Yea, I was feeling the beat. So were the fish.

I have a big carabiner attached to a loop of nylon webbing that I put over my shoulder. You can see it better in some of my other videos. I clip the carabiner to the bowstring and buss cable near where the cable rod is. I have noticed that my bowstring frays a bit faster there, but I've got spares =).

The last couple of weeks they seemed to get active around 11-11:30am, then slowing down a bit around 2pm or so. Still good action all the way until ~5pm when I was leaving. I think as the temps get higher over the next month, that start time will be earlier and earlier.

I think that it's unlikely for bowfishing to really have much of an impact. The numbers are just so high. We should all definitely still try, though =) For getting into bowfishing, I think the only suggestion I would have is to not go too crazy with gear. Just find an old cheap bow and slap a bottle reel on it. Then just start scouting around different utah lake access points during spawn time (mid-may to early july or so).

They are an invasive species here in utah so he is helping bring the population down
