Two rulings by the Supreme Court gave Utah government full control over regulating air pollution from the state’s largest industrial contributors. The Environmental Protection Agency formerly had the authority to oversee regulations the state implemented.

Ok - so pass a law that addresses it directly. No more handing off responsibility to unelected bureaucrats

Oh honey there were laws it was the Supreme Court that took that away just like Roe v Wade had been established law until they took that away and now they're working on taking away birth control because they need more people to work because they think that your kids are going to be the one out there picking food so your Tomatoes don't cost $10😅

Any law makers who say this is a good thing is in the pockets of the people/companies who want the EPA to be defanged. As for the States rights argument, there's nothing stopping the state from imposing stiffer regulations than the Federal Government. State and Federal regulations are needed, and good for the public, specially when they can be enforced, they hold companies who cut corners to the same standards of companies who are able to operate without breaking the strict regulations. Think about the Boeing stuff going on, and imagine Boeing paying SCOUS to defang the FAA over a lot of it's regulations so they can roll out aircraft that was built with next to no quality inspection. The public would go nuts over it. So why do we keep voting in people who want to just roll over to the lobbyists and wealthy people who want to deregulate administrations empowered to enforce public safety regulations?

I will take a little air pollution for jobs and modern convenience, I wish these same people cared this much about genetically engineering, chemicals, and preservatives in our processed foods we eat.

Guess people forgot that Republicans had put the EPA and regulations in place to begin with and all it took was one hyper Fundamentalist Swoop of the Pen by a bunch of federalist Society Dubois for billionaire CEOs... whoopsie too much of a good thing just apparently backfired to those who haven't been paying attention we needed those regulations and the EPA to have the ability to enforce pollution standards and to make sure that our water and air are uncontaminated. But when one guy takes all of that away then we all suffer the repercussions even the states that voted for him are not going to be immune to the consequences of Corporations polluting in their neighborhood or downwind of their neighborhoods

I don't know but you think Texas is going to rake their forests😅 sounds like you like clean air. Make sure you vote blue so you can get back some of these regulations and EPA standards and make them even stronger so we don't have to deal with that just think how much better green energy would be for air pollution. We don't have a rotary dial phone on the wall anymore either moving forward is so much smarter than being stuck on a resource that is outdated and has a limited Supply. We're smarter than that let's stop being slaves to the oil tycoons against our own interests.
