After a tons of boring UV MAP tutorial, finally one that explain the entire process clearly. Thank you a lot, because this was the best explained I've found. A little longer, but useful information for the duration. Thank you a lot
You Sir are a GOD among men. If only every tutorial could be this informative, at a beginners level of understanding, such as this. You took something as intimidating, and complicated as landing a 747, at night, in a fatal thunderstorm, with no aviation experience what so ever, and made it unintimidatingly within reach. I took the time to log in for the soul purpose of thanking you. Phenomenal job, thank you for helping us to understand.
this was a great great tutorial. only one thing I will say to the viewers is that, before watching any kind of this stuff you should take a sleep for an hour just for the sake of RELAXING YOUR MIND. I watched it few days back and found it so much annoying and just closed it because I was not getting anything and uv mapping is one of the tricky part in 3D modeling. but I watched it again and now I found it really really great tutorial. This was my experience and felt to share it with everyone. Now I understand it... Thanks a lot School of Motion:)
Returning here 2 years after I first saw the video, I realised just now how much I have learnt. I am so grateful for your channel, everytNice tutorialng
This is the first time when I am thinking of practicing UV mapping in Cinema 4D, I went through many other videos but couldn't understand the process. Thank you very much for he hard work.
The cinema 4d texture mode available in the drop-down mode under object mode (icon under make editable) allows you to scale move and rotate textures in UV space with standard cinema move tools. So u could scale and move and rotate your cat pretty intuitively as well without UV editing and bodypaint. But still here to learn UVing and I'm ready !!
Wow one of the best uv mapping videos on youtube so clear and educational. Cinema has a weird way of doing UVs with so many different options it's fairly easy to get lost with it. But you made everything so clear thanks 🙂
Great tutorial ! The length was completely justified by the amount of useful information and tricks :) Finally a good guide on how to unwrap things more complex than a cube!
34:40 LONG BEHOLD~~~ Great tutorial btw! Very thorough & u saved my final year project. Thanks for being on point on every step & very well explained along the way!! Very much appreciated. Thanks.
it would help and also save a great amount of time, to know what version of C4D you are using, on the title or in the description. Since C4D R22 > changed the way to do this, and anything C4D
i guess im asking randomly but does someone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Raiden Killian thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Back when Subdivision Surface was HyperNURBS. Had to watch 34min to realize it was Pin Border Points that was messing my Relax ahah I actually watched till the end, great tips here :) Thanks!
Goood Job Dude keep helping God bless you one more time ... i have been looking for someting like this after serveral failures of mapping sofa Thanks a lot
In s22, there is no difference between UV and Object selection, which makes it much easier. So whenever he says "be careful which mode you are in...", you might ignore that detail if you are planning to use s22.
incredible possibilities to those who master it. I am almost done with my first track, but there is so much more to discover and learn. TNice tutorials
I don’t understand how you can possibly paint accurately without a map of how it looks with the subdivision object on because everything moves once it’s on. Why do you make the map without the subdivide? Also should you rig first before texture? Just wondering if once rigged you notice some distortion and have to adjust the topology will it affect the texture?
Your tutorial really helped a lot! Thank you so much! May I have another question? I made a subsurface scattering material and I need to draw things on it, how can I keep the sss material and only keep the alpha channel of the things I draw. Thank you!
Its a very good tutorial with all the detailing in it, now if I want some moss or algae on the box then how to apply the grass material? bcoz its not showing in my render after applying the grass material.
It's a good tutorial! Yet I still find UV map way better and easier to do in Maya or Headus. Maxon, gotta catch up to the competition and copy the features from applications that do it better, they are beyond light years ahead.
Pls Update this Tutorial for Cinema 4D R25..(You know its totally Change UI we are unble to relate to this tutorial) Thanks In Advance, Love From India!!😘
What about stretching marks in this specific case? Can you tell how to get rid of weard distortions? In Blender there is a tool that shows a heatmap for that. Is there something in C4d Aswell? Thank you very much :)
Nice tutorial but I can't go further than 15:00 as soon as I picked-up the brush the edit mode turn off I have no clue why but the window the contour of the cube disapear, what can I do probably a setting in preference but I am totaly newbie in uv mapping and I have to know this to continue to work.
