@@AngelaRGreenArt that would be completely ignorant, reason number one being the main police force that responded to the situation were primarily state police and not the city police, number 2 there wasn’t much the city police could have done considering they have a severe lack of funding there for they lack training and equipment for a active shooter situation, if anyones at fault it’s the state police who responded to the situation as if it were a barricaded suspect situation rather than an active shooter, essentially they called in for SWAT or rather than go in to force the shooter to focus on them instead of the civilians, that was the main mistake, and defunding or disbanding the police in any way is going to do nothing but make these events even more common, had the police actually been funded and had training there is a good chance this would have never happened, people like you will always yell defund the police and yet still bitch and complain when the same police aren’t there to save you, so make up your damn mind.

And actually in an active shooter situation, officers are trained to go in IMMEDIATELY and stop the killing, they had enough officers there within 5 to 6 minutes to push in and stop the shooter and they chilled in the hallway for 45 minutes, it's inexcusable

Add the debate regarding simply raising the age to purchase an AR-15 being made into far more than what it is. No one addressing who in TX government has been against such measures before this tragedy. These are not including all that's contributing to the lack of accountability.
