Lee, that was awesome video about the crushing the quartz and recovering the gold. I enjoyed that. Thanks again for taking us along. Love to meet up with you at Uwharrie. I could use the education, LOL...🤣
Still hitting it I see. Great gold Lee, that piece of quartz really had some great finds in it too. Can't wait to get down that way again. Fingers crossed for a summer road trip.
That's nice Buggy Quartz specimens. I have a yard full that I have been messing with. I always find flour gold and at least a few fly poops in a handful of material. Awesome day out. Great gold and watch.
Yes, Sir. I have been hitting Alamance in a few spots. Always find the flour gold and fly poop. Have plans to explore Haw River more also. The amount of mineralized quartz in my area is crazy.
I've driven over the Haw River and noticed what appears to be bedrock sticking up. It's also really wide and shallow. I would like to get my dredge down there and see what's what 🤔
Lee , I’m up in East Tennessee and new to prospecting. I’ve got a couple camping trips to uwharrie coming up in March and April and looking for overall pointers of where to begin looking for places to concentrate. Of course I’m not asking you to direct me to your honeyhole, just general ideas of how to begin there. I saw that there is lots of private land intermixed with NF and I don’t want to start traipsing over private land.
Mr Hendrix thank you for the info on the creek in Guilford county. This led me to do some investigation and I have found gold on every branch from the in the south southwest direction. One branch had bedrock everywhere and they all had two quartz gains running for miles. I found a vain exposed over two feet wide. I got some samples and some buggy stuff I found in the creek. What does it tell me when I find good gold in crushed rock?
