Thank you for this info, Stephanie! It was very helpful. I have feedback: can you use a different microphone to improve your audio? I struggled to hear you clearly at certain times while watching this video.
Thank you Stephanie, the "Junior UX designer 4 years experience" thing is suuuper crazy. I am going to take these tips to heart and hopefully one of them will help me land a job. Seeing another black female I can relate with really gives me courage to keep trying but the job hunt is exhausting and discouraging.
Hey girl thank for the super helpful advice!! Would you be willing to review my resume/ portfolio? I plan to have it done by the end of February. I’d love to buy you lunch and have a mini virtual lunch date to network and review my portfolio/resume, if you’re up to it.
Hi Stephanie I follow your videos they are really helpful. Thanks for sharing here! Do you know of any training-based jobs in UIUX? Or any consultancies?
Thank you Stephanie for your insight and advice! I have been looking into UI/UX Design and/or Software Engineering. Your input is very beneficial and helpful!
Thank you for this video. I have been studying Full Stack Development but also taking the UX Designer google certificate on Coursera. I work in education in the UK but want to transition to a career in Full Stack development with a focus on design. I want to leave my current job because it’s not my calling but am very apprehensive due to the difficult job market. Do you think free-lancing while looking for a new job in UX/web design is even worth it? My main goal was eventually to have my own company any but a job seemed more secure starting out when I began studying a few years ago. Apparently not any more because of all these layoffs.
Hello! Yes, I would freelance while looking for a job. You get to build your skills working w/ different companies and people, which ultmately could be clients of yours if you decide to start your own business. The more you can position yourself as being "hire-able" the better off you'll be! Good luck and thank you for watching!
