Have you ever tried baking Uyghur naan bread?
Islam in Guangzhou arrived through trading in 7th century. Today, there are still large number of muslims living and doing business around the region.
In this episode, we are introducing a community other than Little Africa in Guangzhou - a Muslim community!
Hiro and Daum encountered people from different parts of Arabic countries in Xiaobei (Guangzhou). We've tried Lamb Mandi at a halal restaurant, and also a visited a Uyghur bakery - where they bake Uyghur naans straight from their tandoor. Daum was lucky to learn how to stick naan inside the tandoor from the Uyghurs... but could she do it?
