Makes as much sense as green and yellow Mega Man that his real name is Mega and then as a superhero he is Mega Man. It's just like how Super Man's real name is Super, and Bat Man's real name is Bat...

Things I like about the worldwide version: 1. The names are much better sounding and original for the bosses. 2. Rock's name is Mega. 3. Dr. Right is named Dr. Light 4. Forte is named Bass Things I like about the Japanese version: 1. Rock Man actually sounds like a player character and not some angsty teen. 2. Rightot is named Rightot. Auto sounds too cheezy. 3. Rightot and Roll help you in between levels. 4. The robots usually reform at the end.
