The prototype robot created by Dr. Light that was supposed to be the turning point in robotics, Protoman is a robot designed for fighting. As a prototype, Protoman is incomplete and has an unstable reactor core in his body that could blow at any minute. He resents the fact that he was activated before being completed and has run off from the rest of his family, watching over them in the shadows and helping out whenever necessary.
... and I hate the way he talks in this game. It's not so much a problem with the voice as it is a problem with the delivery in his lines. Aside from anger, he displays no other emotions and only has two topics he likes to discuss; the fact that he's incomplete and how he is uncertain of his existence.
