As a euphonium player I give extreme props for pulling this off with a slide. Also Im jealous that euphonium cant really slide into notes so expressively as the trombone ya know like when you start the note flat and pull into it I think that sounds so nice.
Thank you! This is very inspirational. The key of D (minor and minor) is very suitable for trombone in this case, giving easy positions, but requires playing a bit higher up than most trombonists master. This performer mastered this perfectly.
I used to watch this video all the damn time when I was a kid in band. Then today I was watching “What We Do In The Shadows” and a familiar piece showed up. So here I am again
I’ve only been playing trombone for two years, but by the end of this school year, I️ want to learn how to play this piece. It’s going to take a lot of practice, but hopefully, I️ can do I️t.
This student must be very happy. Sounds like a lot of practicing. Very good but you skipped the grupetto and do sort of a glissando or double-tonguing instead.
