The people that don't like the message in 'Public property', are exactly the people that V.O.B. are singing about. 'Killing In The Name' certainly expresses how they feel about what they'e had to overcome.
What exactly is the message? Where I live many Muslims consider all women without hijab to be whores that you can rape. Women wearing a hijab would feel safe from Muslim men and other men wouldn't even look at them thinking they are probably religious freaks. Exactly who would call *them* public property, and why? Is this song popular among women in Iran?

The 1st song was actually released on women's national day which is March 8th I believe and many of the organizations took the song as a moto song as it speaks volumes on very sensitive issues over sexual harassment, rape, and abuse. I was never a fan of RATM but did like this one song Killing in the name and these young ladies did the cover I liked even more.
They sound like they are influenced by Early metal. I definitely heard Tony Iommi in the first song all over that guitar and the second had an Alvin Lee/Sammy Hagar thing going on.
