As a 12 year old in the mid70s when the fresh tarmac stretched from Gaza Rd to the city and no cars were yet allowed, we had racing bikes and as many lanes as we needed, all day and all night. Unreal.
Awesome Bike Ride, Beautiful City Awesome Water Views. Cool Bridge, I Also Got A Bike Video Of me Taking The Elevator LOL. We Also Have A Awesome Bike Loop Here In Tucson, I Have Rod My Bike On It many Times. Your City Sure Is Beautiful. Those Trees Are So Cool Looking. I Love Riding Down Stairs. Cool Lizard, Ahhh The Ole Mag Pie Protector Helmet.
Great video mate. I was surprised when I saw this video in my RU-vid recommended and it's almost exactly the route I take to Brisbane every holidays. I just get on the V1 at a different spot. It's nice to see people still finding joy in stuff like this, I'm 14 and riding this path to Brisbane is one of my favourite holiday activities.
would like to know what the mtb is that you are riding looking at getting a pedal assisted mtb if the price is right if you could recommend something affordable @@jelbuilderfilms
Nice video John! Next time you can continue past those stealth campers and continue to St Lucia, then cross the Brisbane River over the bus only bridge, get on the P.A bike way at Kent street which then links to back to the V1 - a really awesome loop to explore the other half of the city side. Very nice riding out that way but its starting to get so hot during the day
Yes indeed. I do that a couple of times a week. There is a new bridge across O keefe st and what looks like a roller coaster ride, not complete, behind PA hospital, to maybe connect to Eleanor Schonell bridge. Very enjoyable ride. Thank you Brisbane.
There's a great Cycleway from Goodna I think along the Centenary Highway all the way to Brisbane City. I haven't done it yet but it's on the cards in the next few weeks.
@lukeeldridge the other way to get on that bike way is to skate on it. I did it once 24 years ago on my in line skates from Griffith University Mt Gravatt Campus to the city and back. Be warned though, I was so sore the next day that I stayed in my dorm the whole day. If I can get a good set of skates, I might be game to try this route and take the Uber home if I get too tired :p
The tents you came across in Brisbane are homeless people who can’t fine accommodation in share houses because there are so many now looking for accmmodation the Government can’t keep up with the demand and the rents have sky rocketed and there are many all around the city the ones with tents are the fortunate ones.😢
I know mate.... homeless tent dwellers are all over our council parklands where I live. It's a sad state of affairs that our state is in when people have to live like this.
