I bought mine nearly 20 years ago and it is still in the box. Have been watching cooking shows during this lockdown and see many chefs using this device -- so it's now out of the box -- and I can't thank you enough for your video. Many many many thanks!
We have this from the last 18 years and still we haven't unpacked it because we don't know how to use this but now watching your video I have unpacked it and started using it thanku for the video
I saw you demonstrate this on hochanda. I was that impressed I put it on my Christmas list. Luckily my husband got it for me. I've only just around to trying it out. I love it! I'm glad I found your RU-vid clip though, to remind me of all the things you can do with it.... off to make a salad for pack up tomorrow. Many thanks, Jacky
Jacky Kirk iam going to watch this demo over and over till i get it down pat i am 78 and have had a stroke then I will start to use it thanks for the demo it's the best one i have seen
So which model did you choose could you tell me please? I am planning to buy one but the various models V1 V3 v6 v5 all that is confusing me. Price again is another thing to be considered. Thanks
We have been using these for 35 years, great gifts, all my daughters & extended families enjoy the V slicer❣️ Vital kitchen tool!!!! Great tutorial! Thank you. Ps: A tiny suggestion would be to stop the extra slicing & kitchen sounds not made by the professional presenter. These extra sounds create an unexplained & unnecessary distraction. Food 🥦🥒for thought😊
I bought my first one around 40 years ago after watching a demo in a shopping centre. I have never been without one since. I'm so afraid of being without mine that I bought another as a spare. I use it very often as I dehydrate surplus fruit and veg which needs slicing thinly. I make coleslaw on a weekly basis. Not the thin vinegary supermarket stuff, but thick, creamy stuff, with more of the stuff I like (onion). I make one big bowlful, then split it into 3 or 4 and make variation. I add sultanas and curry powder to make Coronation coleslaw, Make coleslaw from red cabbage and add slices almonds, or add pineapple chunks, celery and apple with a bit of honey as a mildly sweet and sour-ish coleslaw. It is all healthy, with no additives and is *cheap*.
Hi Phyllis, We both have had ours for about the same number of decades!!! I am in awe of your coleslaw recipes and variations using fruits & nuts etc. When is your cookbook going to be available on Amazon?!!😊
@@chrisolin1993 I have a number of books that people have said should be written. I'll get around to them all when I can learn how to do without sleep and therefore have some spare time lol.
could you tell me ,where or how I can get the storage box ?.I had my pieces in a plastic box and the v cutter on top..you,ve guest it,reached into the cupboard and sliced my fingers(three)..please help
Hellow I have bought one of these I have use the steel one does it have life time warranty??? I bought from WMF store in toronto from east bever creek road now it is closed I need the replesment what should I do??? I use every single day
my wife got a mandolin slicer and it is junk. we wanted to cut french fries and it doesn't do that. the cuts get stuck in the blade and won't fall. it's going back to find a better one.
+Mildred Lyon Hi Many thanks for your enquiry. To cut the chips ensure you use the full length of the mandolin with the large julienne blade insert. All the way to the top of the board and all the way to the bottom will give you a 10mm chip. Regards T N Evans Ltd
+T N Evans Ltd Thank you for your reply I have noticed now why your chips are thicker its because you have only 8 cutting blades on you cutter I have 12 on mine could you tell me where to get one with only 8 blades like yours please as I purchased this so I could cut chips so I am very disappointed with my v slicer
+Mildred Lyon We are using the 10mm julienne blade. Which Borner model do you have? The 10mm blade comes as standard with the V1 as in the film. The V5 and Stainless Steel V6 do not have this size of large Juilenne blade. Please do check out the comparisons on our website www.tnevansltd.co.uk/borner-mandolin-v-slicer.htmlI hope that helps.RegardsT N Evans Ltd
I believe it's the Swissmar Borner V Slicer. I have the JML Super Slicer which is an almost identical product. (Got mine at a charity shop). Came here to see how to use it properly.
I am positive he's never read the comments, but i'm still gonna say it: Informative, yes, but COMPLETELY USELESS, dude!!! There is no name for the product, no link where it could be found and no answer either to people asking for it!!! Way to go, pfff!
