V12 Personal razor collection H Hall & Sons, England Circa 1840 

Glad you enjoyed you mini-vacation. Some straight razors are expensive for sure and so are some of the honing stones if you fall in that rabbit-hole. But it doesn't have to be. My reckoning is that the reason people don't use these much is that they are scared of getting cut and their fathers never taught them! My father used only an electric shaver, my mum's father used a safety razor and her grandad used a straight because the others had not been invented. :) They also take a long time to learn to use well - months at least, but the shave is worth it. When i hit 50, i figured i wasn't going to improve on my Greek God looks, so i might as well give it a bash! Nice singer of a blade there too. T

Good morning Graham from Akron, Ohio here in the states. I own a razor, new to you standard, that is roughly 70 years old. I friend at work sold it to me for $10. He picked it up at a knife show. I put and edge on it and put the razor in the rotation. This is one of my favorites. Thank you for the video sir, Please have the best day…
