Hey everyone I am a 4th generation farmer, grew up in south central Nebraska living the farm kids dream. As I got older I was able to turn that dream of one day being a farmer into reality! Soon enough into farming I realized that I needed a second source of income to keep on top of todays lifestyle and invested into livestock! Thank you. This helped me understand what squeeze chutes are used for. I’m in a high school advanced Animal class and we have to make a cattle corral that has one of these and a dip vat. Very interesting!

Always brand first. That pour on is flammable and I’ve seen it light up every cow in the ally because somebody did the pour on while all the cows were in the alley and then it caught fire from the branding iron. I prefer having an alley you can put pipes behind the cows so they can’t back up.

That looked like a nice quiet day of working cattle. That was true no-stress handling. Its awful hard to find a perfect chute, always something that could be improved. Would be nice to have a different one for every procedure and size of cattle. 😊

Do you have your chute mounted down on concrete? It does not look like it in video but I don't want to assume it's not. Looking for info on how to mount down or if it's really necessary? Any info would be helpful love your tub thanks for sharing.

I can only imagine all the hate comments you’ve gotten on this video about the branding. I get called terrible things whenever I put up a cow working video! Keep doing what you do, obviously it’s working!

Hi there from uk, great to watch a crush in action rather than sat there being talked over. I like the look of the headyoke and squeeze mechanism but my only question is how do you get (good) access from behind (bleeding/AI/scanning etc)? Do you use a different crush? Also I think the priefert use a wire halter, his does this play out for bolusing? I didnt realise they only squeezed one side, does this make it hard to work younger smaller stock? Most of us beef farmers don’t do a lot of AI here and the vet has his own chute for preg checking, I have a palpating cage behind my chute. It’s about 3 feet long with a door for a human to get behind the cow.
