So glad we're watching this show together with the Burlington gang! Loved everyone's reactions! Seriously Obi-wan is so bad at going incognito it's amazing he's been successful at staying hidden for the last 10 years. Anakin really must've not been looking for him at all. 😂
In RotJ, Leia talks about how she remembers her mother, vaguely. Since her mother died like minutes after she was born, it is assumed it's some latent Force ability that gives her these feelings. Leia asks Obi-Wan "Are you my real father?" because she has a sense through her latent Force ability, a vague memory of him... because he was present at her birth, and the first human to hold her.
@@NoiZeTribe4Life You could probably explain it away too, depends how much effort you want to put in. Having vague feelings/memories of people (which may or may not include time spent in the womb, we can't be sure), doesn't necessarily have to mean that they have memories of everyone they were in contact with, and given that someone she "may" have had a memory of (this Obi-Wan thing is a theory rather than confirmed canon) is someone she found out she had no relation to, as an adult she may be more wary of making that assumption of the next one she meets. Also, Kenobi is relatively unchanged from her birth, whereas the appearance of a baby versus an 18 year-old Luke Skywalker is drastically different. How much of it is a Force-enhanced memory versus a "feeling"?
For anybody who has complained that Disney Star Wars is a little too "sanitized" a Stormtrooper gets straight up cut in half, a kid gets their neck snapped by Vader and Obi-Wan gets fucking BBQ'd this episode. People have really complained about this episode already but it actually made me feel tension for a character I know 100% cannot die.
Same it was a good episode. Are there things I wish they had done different? Of course, for example I really would have liked hearing imperial march playing and maybe a little more blood. But that’s just my opinion. Star Wars has come along way from being the “space odyssey” we knew, and while nothing will change what Disney has done to it, at least we can still enjoy it.
Ok so how do you think George Lucas felt back when people complained about the prequels. Or how Rian Johnson felt when people complained about Last Jedi. Or how Kathleen felt about how the sequels divided the fans? Has starwars always been protec3d from any criticism? People have complaints and criticisms. Thats how products get better obviously there'll be people like you who enjoy it but there's gonna be people thay don't. You need to learn to accept that just as much as people who don't like it need to accept people lile you who do enjoy it. People have their reasons.
Glad to see another G.O.T actor make it to the Star Wars universe,.. after Pedro Pascal now its Indira Varma, aka Ellaria Sand…. Feels weird cause i use to watch the G.O.T bar reaction back in the the day,… good times…
Testament to how great this show handles Vader is how worried we are for Obi-Wan and Leia... even though we know they appear in the OT later! He retains the title of villain GOAT.
When Leia was calling Obi-Wan, "father" were any of you reminded of the scene in Game of Thrones where Arya called Hound, "father" when they were in disguise eating food at that strangers house? It immediately made me think of that scene. The Hound interrupts the prayer because he's so hungry and Arya says, "FATHER!!!"
I feel like Obi should have stood up for Bail more when she asked him; like she’s going to experience some abandonment, but Leia has a real father and Obi should reconcile her feelings w/ the affirmation she has a loving family
Darth Vader was so cold and menacing in this episode . I was literally on the edge of my sit through out the episode. Darth Vader wasn't having any of it . He was like *"You get a choke , you get a choke and you get a choke"* . This episode has the potential to be called Revenge of the sith lord .🤣.
Whenever someone asks me who the greatest movie villain of all time is I will show them this episode. Vader proves once again why he is the master of fear! First he starts by just brutally force chocking and and snapping the necks of random civilians, even dragging one behind him with the Force down a street without breaking stride or even saying a word. Then ignites his lightsaber just to instill fear into Obi-Wan. Then after toying with Obi-wan he drags him through a river of fire like he left Vader in. Also Hayden Christiansen killed it in this episode. He looked and felt like the Vader we all knew but when he knocked back Obi-Wan as he was fighting him he started to almost stalk him like in their battle on Mustafar.
Yep, loved Vader in the episode. If only Disney would weave in more of the original Star Wars music...it would add even more to the immersion, I think.
"I am what you made me." I love that we now have so much character depth to Vader that he is simultaneously sounds like death incarnate AND a an emo whiny b&tch at the same time.
It's funny how Vader's major character moments are long looks and quick heel turns, it portrays so much in that last scene. He was expecting a great duel and was met with disappointment, victory just turned to ash in his mouth realising that his rival and former master was just a shadow of his former self. There might even be a hint of sadness, seeing what Obi-Wan has become
I think that started when Vader started killing those random bystanders. Obi-Wan in his prime wouldn't have stood for that. He'd come out to save even one life. Vader must have been so disappointed.
I didn't notice this until now: When the stormtrooper is holding a blaster to Leia's head, Obi-Wan calmly says "Let her go" just before shooting him. He is using the Jedi Mind Trick! Nice touch.
Love your channel, Sean! (we also share the same first name) I've loved your reactions since GoT. I also loved your crossover appearance on The Normies! Keep up the great work, man. Love your channel! :)
@@SeanTanktop Nice! I love to hear it :) I really love the return of the bar reactions since the pandemic killed them for so long. I imagine that was super tough for you.
This certainly gives extra context to why Obi-Wan told Luke that Vader killed Anakin. In his eyes, there's nothing left of the man he once knew as Anakin Skywalker. Anakin is gone, and in his place is Darth Vader, an inhuman monster that cannot be saved.
my internet would get turned off the day this drops. you cant stop me obi-wan! i watched it on my phone! and its just as i said...vader is nobodys fool....he couldnt care less about the grand inquisitor...you can kill and eat each other if it gets me what i want...pure darth vader
That jerk Freck, snitching to border patrol! But holy crap, who predicted watching Obi-Wan kill multiple people in under a minute by shooting them each THROUGH THE HEART? Intense episode between all the violence, Vader being a murder machine again, Quinlan being alive, and Obi-Wan having a brother. I did not expect so much from this one mini-series.
I have to say I really liked better when there was you 3 (Sean and the draces) reacting, commentary was so funny, you have some of that here but not the same. I hope you will do those reactions too in the future for big shows. nice to see people on the bars again thou
Someone when making this series said “let’s make Vader a slasher villain by having him just pop up out of nowhere” and it worked. Edit: OK, yeah, he did that in the original trilogy too. My bad. 😅 It just feels more obvious here that that’s what they’re doing.
How crazy can people be? That's it. Walk with lions and hug them. And no, this is not a montage, but real shots from an excursion in one park. View ( Visitors did not expect such a WARM WELCOME FROM the LION! ) Enjoy watching if you don't get scared :)
