I love what you said about the issue of polygamy because this was something I was kinda struggling with. I had the mindset that men are allowed multiple wives without the current wife's permission and that was that, there was nothing we could do about it . (and I was just REALLY struggling with fully accepting that 😅) however, what I didn't realize was that nowhere does Islam obligate women to stay and participate in these marriages, everyone has free will, so if you don't want it - just don't participate in it 🤷‍♀️ also, it can be agreed upon before marriage that the husband will not take an additional wife during the marriage , therefore creating a contract which is binding upon him 😅

Sometimes I wonder if women who are too picky use picky-ness as a tactic to not let anyone get too close emotionally. Its easier to just dismiss a guy. However, that being said, I think wayyyy more women have standards that are too low and end up settling without realizing it. I don't get how muslimahs are still jumping on this Valentines day train. The thought of waiting a whole year, just to receive flowers (or buy yourself flowers) sounds utterly dull. When Muslims say "in Islam, everyday is Valentines day". They're not kidding. Even showing yourself love everyday, is a part of Islam. Eastern cultures like Arabic and South Asian ones, have an obsession with roses and scattered rose petals around the house (traditional Eastern people). Fathers even give their daughters roses, to show their little princess how she should be treated. Even Japan, with their Kawaii cutesy culture is all about not swearing, tea parties and being cutesy, cutesy with your spouse 💓💓. We can't forget the world famous African American cultures, with their slow romantic songs, and daddy daughter dances. Western culture rocks too. But Valentines day, isn't one of those things. We shouldn't wait to celebrate each other. I feel the same way about birthdays, which was invented by Firwan. Thats the real reason birthdays are taboo, in Muslim communities. Those Muslims, are on the right track imo 💁🏽‍♀️
