I made my rendition of this roll at work. My sushi master was pissed. He said dying the rice was not traditional. The executive chef and wife thoroughly enjoyed it. Wish I could show you a picture of it.
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. I love the tips you give, using plastic wrap when slicing the sushi, and placing the mat in a bag (made for an easy clean up). Used your technique but subbed in canned tuna and a bit of mayo for the filling, pipped on some sriracha mayo. Hubby was very impressed. Thanks again and Happy Valentine's Day!

Although I agree that the egg yolk and mayo at the end was unnecessary, I liked that you taught us a way to plate the sushi, so kudos to that anyway! I might try this with the egg yolk and mayo as well!
Hi! I watched many of your videos and got obsessed with sushi. My girlfriend loves it, so yesterday I finally made some. I didnt have all of the ingedients for the rise since they are hard to find in Uruguay, BUT it was delicious anyway. Thank you for all your videos! Cheers!!

As a broke college kid, I can't really afford to make lavish sushi dishes all too often, and I thought it might be a neat idea for you to explore in a possible future video on how to make a delicious and unique kind of sushi using affordable ingredients (I myself am all too familiar with imitation crab and avocado). Thanks for the videos, I can't wait to see the next one.
I think the outcome of the recipe looks really good and undoubtely tastes awesome. However, I feel you slightly overdid it with the egg yolks. I mean, you may have used a little too much. As a result all the colouring and shapes inside the roll can't be appreciated. But anyway, it looks delicious! I've been cheking out your videos and I've been learning a lot. Hopefully. someday I'll have the time to properly prepare these recipes, especially because it seems rahter difficult to get many of the ingredients here in South America!
