Just got one, I'm running it into a Randall 1x8 cabinet I have set up in my bedroom. I have a Hotone Nano amp sitting on top of it so I can swap out heads quickly for different sounds. The Nano is my British sounding amp and the Tar sounds more Fender clean.
For this demo, I'm running out of this amp and directly into my DAW. That way you are hearing 100% only the unit, not my room, mic, separate amp... or anything else, just the amp I'm demoing. It has a "Cab" emulator built in so if you are using headphones, it sounds incredibly natural and like a mic'd up cab. No pedals or fx between my guitar and the amp. Again, just the amp. No processing in Post either.
@@MarlonGibbons Hi, if I buy this amp and I don't have a speaker cabinet yet, can I just use headphones? I don't have a computer or audio interface. Still looking for a cabinet too.
This unit is excellent for practicing with headphones. The gain is buzzy ("mosquito buzz") however, so not too good - expected with a digital unit. With 4x12 30-watt speakers it sounds pretty bad...lots if digital "splat" on volume increase...but again ...its digital.
