In hindsight, this lady is a genius. She might not have convinced everybody, but she was able to land herself out of jail. Not everybody can do that. Not to mention she left so little evidence. Most cases have people who leave a shit ton of evidence that can easily convict them but she didn't. Her being a woman has nothing to do with it. She's just smart. That's whats so terrifying. It truly was disheartening that she wasn't found guilty, however according to some jury members, there were just not enough definitive evidence. Not even that the fact that everyone who knew her personally said “she’s a lier and a fake human being who does what she wants to get what she wants” then her lawyer tells the story about her sexual abuse and the jury goes “oh that makes sense” like bro people literally just warned you that she’s a lier.

If she wanted her daughter found in the first place, even if she's given the benefit of the doubt about her actually not knowing where her daughter is during the month prior to getting interviewed, she still made about a billion lies up about: where she worked, people she worked with, even going as far as to making up a "rich" mixed race nanny who supposedly babysat her daughter for 2 years and now abducted her? That paired with her behavior, actions, and searches about "suffocation" right before the girls death is already significant evidence. In order to be found guilty in court, it has to be “beyond a reasonable doubt”, meaning it has to be clear cut and dry that she did the crime they charged her for. They charged her for first degree murder, but there was NO physical evidence linking her to the death of her daughter. Of course the whole case smelled like it was her, BUT because of the lack of evidence such as DNA, she was able to be let go. Because the prosecution couldn’t prove that maybe she knew about her child’s death but someone else killed her daughter or maybe her daughter drowned by herself and Casey knew about it but didn’t tell the police. In those instances, it’s not first degree murder.

He told us to leave all emotion out of it and go by the facts alone to determine whether she was guilty or innocent. I truly feel bad for the jurors on this case because deep down everyone knows she is responsible for her daughter's death in some way, whether it be negligence or intentional, but the evidence did not support a conviction. It's truly terrifying to know that if someone commits a murder and waits it out long enough while disposing the body well enough, they can get away with murder. The only solace I have from the entire ordeal is that she is famous for all the wrong reasons and hopefully the rest of her life will be filled with hardship and misery.

It seems that she was not prepared to be a mother, nor did she want to be a mother. Her presence of emotions when talking to her family and friends makes her seem very human… but the moment her daughter is brought up, she turns off her emotions as if she doesn’t care about her and in fact considers her daughter with hostility. It is very likely that her motive was “getting rid of a burden.” And to gain back her youth. The duality of a young woman and a cold-blooded killer is very chilling but it seems plausible when the context of a spoilt girl (by her own parents) is brought into question. As someone that gets away with a lot, she seems as though she’s still a naughty child (purposefully misleading the detectives and then throwing her hands up like it was an elaborate prank, and then defending herself in a childish manner). In summary, this young woman seems as though she never grew up and gained a sense of maternity and thus resents her own daughter and views the responsibility of her as a burden to her happiness. And since she lacks maturity and reason, it seems she thought she could get away with the murder of a child. Ok this is just what I think 30 minutes in, I still have the rest of the video lol. Edit: 1 hour in, and yep I think I was spot on. She really is a narcissistic sociopath who was not ready to be a mother. She viewed her daughter as a burden and felt relieved when the burden was taken from her. Edit 2: look away cuz spoilers for the verdict. That really was a great example of manipulation. I have no doubt in my mind that Casey was guilty, she’s a pathological liar, and she intended to free herself. I mean look at all the evidence. From the autopsy to the diary entry. The defense attorney… was just that insanely good. He probably got seriously high profile cases after this. He manipulated the jury into feeling guilty for being swayed by their emotions. If a jury weighs the pros and cons, they would be better off declaring her innocence after being called out by defense than declaring her guilty. There is no “proof” according to defense. So… they rolled with it. Horrible outcome to an easy case. There was motive, clear behavioral problems, and a suitable environment (childhood and present). It probably didn’t help that the opposing side’s testimonies (her own family) was probably weak because they are ALSO biased. I HOPE there wasn’t any tampering on that end, but it IS possible.

Yep, she learned nothing from this... Absolutely nothing. All it did was confirm her previous experiences that she can get away with ANYTHING. It's surreal, if anything... Unbelievable.

I wanted so bad for there to be a retrial, a new jury, SOMETHING whenever this was all over the news. It’s just unfair to her child, her mother, and her father with how this ended up and it’s disrespectful to the police who went in and investigated the situation, who were forced to listen to her lie all day. Knowing the facts and knowing she was guilty

Agreed I believe 100% her parents already know Casey murdered Caylee but they choose to bury it deep bc Casey is their daughter despite Casey continuously being pathological liar and manipulative... The parents will do whatever they can to make Casey walk free This case makes me mad

I've heard this story so many times....it's fun to hear you react fresh. It reminds me how bizarre these cases are after I've gotten blase

the hypocrisy and lies in this case is just absolutely astounding. I can't believe that she wasn't found guilty.

How can someone make sense if a child is missing and the mother goes parting. Doesn't really does the math. The fact that she is living a normal life with the lies she feed is totally insane.

Caylee was born like 5 days after I was. She would've been my age. This is horrifying.

Yeah. And she was just 22. I'm 24 and when I was at my university at 22 yrs old I could not lie to my professors or my parents, I would blush, stutter and felt so much stress and guilt even seconds before lying, that it was no point in lying and had to tell the truth bc it was so uncomfortabe to lie- it was easier for me just to be honest and deal with whathever like an 22 yr old adult... It is just so weird that someone in early 20tees could lie so easily with SUCH details. It 's so sad that she got away with it. May the baby rest peacefully😟♥️

That lawyer is "Better Call Saul" in real life, but it's not funny. She is clearly guilty, especially with the search history evidence. How's that not evidence enough for the jury? No justice served.

That's precisely why I dropped off law school, it makes me sick that there's people out there who would actually defend actual murderers. We know she did it, all the evidence lead to it, but in the end it all comes down to what happens in court, and truth be told, the defendant did a better job than the prosecutors, that's the reality of it...
