Just did the mission with this method. Here's an important thing to know, you HAVE to hit where it's shown in the video, otherwise you are waisting ammo. To destroy the tank, you have to hit the radiators, the problem is that the railing hitbox make it so that you must hit a precise point of the tank. What you want to aim for is slightly behind the backward turret.

Pretty much the same strategy I used but... (as seen in my video) I had no idea you could just skip the first part of the mission with Riley

Does this strat work for the Hard Mode as well?

Still work for all difficulties... If operation didn't success after belgar dialog.. All you had to do restart the mission.. You must destroy all 4 reactor in the body of tank within 2 Riley's mortar shoot.

ok so hardmode person here literally just completed it now so i used jasacha with the highest enemy mortar you can get along with the shard that gives 20 vs armour i had minerva kai and jascha on the left 3 ties in a line i put mostly defence stuff on them but it doesnt matter your use her distance to help get the mortar in place first put fortify treads on cactus then pick up riley and drive to the ship you should be ok as unless you mess around on the way save here incase riley gets killed by the motars and fire once shes made it to the ship leave cactus there its done its job you also only get 2 turns to do this hence why you should do this first or risk it up to you have minerva use command and have here bring kai and jascah to the left side same as the video but instead this will be on foot then hug the walll and end turn use the tank to try and kill the mortar since it could fuck up your group end turn itll move same place as video and such it should attack cactus and kill it and damaage the hafen but not kill the tank this is fine now your in position to 1 shot the blind fool and end his dumb idea but you need to set up the buffs to acheieve this i used demo buff, weak spot, and boost blast radius otherwise youll not hit enough once there alll on you should be ok aim for the middle back gun and fire and it should hit all 4 blocks killling the tank and getting you that sweat a rank if it doesnt work reply to this and ill try my best to help out cheers to op for help me clean up some of the nasty 1 turn skirmishs and such as i used 1 of the weapons from those skirmishs as it has the best armour pen out of mortars side note you only get 1 shot but you should be able to use the resupply order to fix the issues and pull the victory

Thanks... I defeated the boss, After various re-loads for Riley's Attack. My game's version isn't in english so i used the wrong orders: After using 4/5 orders i killer him in 2 attacks

Something went wrong ... It worked fine on normal but on Hard he just stopped taking damage

I said wasn't gona watch a guide for VC4 like I did the first game for almost every misson,but this level had me CONTEMPLATING I tell ya. I made it all way through with no guide until the very end,but here I will use my 1 guide video pass to put that Undead Mad Scientists back in the grave.

April 23, 2023 here. It still works on hard mode. Now I can have Arataki Itto, i mean Claude be with Keqing, i mean Riley lol. Itto and Keqing though, both are characters in Genshin and are voiced by the English VAs of Claude and Riley. I forgot Claude's Eng VA's name lol but for Riley it is Kayli Mills ^^ Anyway thanks for your guides Kyorisu!

I think this was patched. The win condition is that Riley reaches the Centurion, not defeat the tank. Correction: I eventually won by defeating the tank. Seems that if you destroy it too much, the radiators will retract and you can't destroy it any further and will have to complete the objective another way (bringing Riley to the Centurion)

There's a Z symbol on the tank. Did the developers predict Russo-Ukrainian war?

This boss fight is so fucking selfish. It only allows two chances and then the radiators never come back on? Why?! Even with the Orders it’s still hard. How the hell are you supposed to kill off all of those things in two chances?!
