I thought I was pretty good, getting all Rank A in my missions. Then someone like you comes along and obliterate my self-worth. 1 friggin turn! Nicely done, sir!
Playing thru this game, beat this mission with an A rank off the bat, but not in one turn! Im finding that having played the first game makes getting A ranks much easier in this game because I know the mechanics better
For anyone that wants to do this during your first playthrough, you can do this strategy over 2 turns instead of 1. First off you need your snipers to be @ lvl 18 for the penetrate command to do this. Give Kai your latest emperial ZM sniper for Max damage as you want to two tap the staff preferably. & Give your shock troopers M9A5 so they can take more shots. The key difference I used is when scout rushing Minerva up the right side I had to use a command on her to fully heal her since she couldn't take enough shots even under a defense order. Obviously I didn't have enough cp so I killed the poet and had her hid in the sandbags there and called in two shock troopers and lastly run Kai back into the base to regenerate amo and no die from the ice bitch. Then the following turn use Kai to destroy the staff again and have Minerva run the two shocks up to the Ice bitch. Then use the penetrate command on one of the troopers. Make sure your main troopers gun is essentially in her stomach when shooting her as any further distance the ice witch will counter attack and kill your trooper with an AOE and most likely killing all troops around them. You should kill her with in 4 uses of your penetration induced trooper. And 2 turns is more then enough to get an A rank.
You can even onehit that staff with one of the burst sniper rifles. They are strong enough with the available tech for that mission. Gives you one more CP to work with, maybe for a small heal on minerva if neccessary
This mission (and the Vulcan fight before it) was a low point in the game for me. I don't like feeling like I have to cheat the game to complete a level.
At least I've seen what the strategy is for taking down Crymaria (it seems like trying to shoot her in the back of head doesn't actually do much. I'll send a couple of units in together and have them try to finish her off before my turns end (it becomes unnecessarily difficult otherwise).
I did this with the same start, but when I reached the flag I used attack weak spot on 'ferrier' (or 'fleuret' or smth) and then she walked with her and didn't command minerva. Could almost reach it on her own. The attack weak spot killed her in one turn, so I had even more turns left. Same result, both one turn but I figured I would share it
Well...yikes. I didn't have that order, so I ended up just burning her to death with a flamethrower...for five turns. With attack boost. After killing everything else on the map. Seeing it done this way is startling.
In the first valkyria chronicles I past the game without using orders. It was he'll but I felt great actually using strategy to win. Right now I don't have the patience tho
In my first playthrough my hafen was defeated and I lost order chance. I found lancers to do some damage, same with granados, but valkirye regens each turn and I sadly thought at penetration order solution... Are there other good ways to damage her without spoiling the fun with that order? I do 0 damage with snipers sadly.
I used Kai to snipe the Valkyria's staff, then parked Raz, Lily and Zaiga right in front of her and had them team attack while aiming at her head 5-6 times.
How is Minavera surviving for you, all the way to the base flag??? She's the max lvl 20, and I did the Defense Boost order, and she has an HP boost item equipped. She still dies at the first gunner turret, but you run past like 20 of them. Any suggestions?
Truth is nobody gives a crap how do do it whit one turn. Would like to see how people do it in a real game situation. This has done after game was beaten and fully grinded out to max. No way anyone would have this at the first play true.
Yeah you can't possibily understand how to beat her efficently if you don't know you need to bring Minerva and two troopers (one with penetrate) I guessed that was a nice strategy but I forgot about penetrate completely (also you may not have it) This fight is annoying not for difficulty but because it's incredibly unclear what the heck are you supposed to do once you broke her staff, it's all trial and error
@@4T3hM4kr0n You need the Order "Penetration" (Sniper 18) and with this there is no problem with one shocktropper to kill her. The Problem with her is, so i think, that she counts as a unit wit heavy armor. That´s why using penetration to reduce her Def. to zero and take a gun with with more then 30 Shots and an accessory +15 armor damage to the unit
