Oh boy, there's much I want to say about this one! My first squad story that I unlocked, and honestly it blew me completely away. Even though I loved VC 1, i barely remember any of my squaddies since their backstory amounted to a few paragraphs in the book. Some of them had a few appearances in the anime. But this squad story, oh god, not only does it star two of my favorite VAs, Benjamin Diskin and Xanthe Huynh. Not only does it pull off one of my favorite tropes, a cynical grumpy old man done with life partnered up with an adorable bundle of joy. But it also portrays some of the more bitter realities of our society, and conveys such a powerful message that is easy to forget, to cling onto hope no matter what. Easily the best squad story for me. I remember VC1 having a couple gay characters, but it was certainly a surprise to see Rosetta's true nature! Never would have guessed she was transgender. It isn't forced at all and you learn it by looking up her bio in the diary. Nice attention to detail that Rosetta has male animations too. She's really nice but needless to say, Nico and Godwin became my absolute favorite squaddies, who I deployed on every mission. And on that note I'm pretty sure "Saint Nico" has quite the body count on my playthrough... whoops

This is actually why I chose Godwin for Ch 16. He once was looking out for #1, but then just when he realized there were others he could fight for, he decides to give everything for them. I also like to imagine that Nico was originally going to go on that mission, but then Godwin does this anime trope where he knocks her out and takes her place. I dunno, I read too much fan fiction. lol

Nico's voice reminds me of Haru from Persona 5.

the only one i've played is the first game, and watched a LP of the 2nd. but i'm happy this did the sqaud missions too.

I want to tell you: Rosetta is a man, i know because he is my first caporal. In any case i was quite sad when Godwin yelled on Nico. I had imagined some kind of cartoonish humor with nico trying to be a helpfull girls scout and become an anoyance him, instead it turn out very realistic and sad. But the story was good and it was the first time i ever used godwin

What was your loadout and level for the squad? I know it's a little late for this, but I hope you remember. :D
